dude i swear, do these people think before they send us these messages?
im at the gas n go in green river, heading to denver and I have less than an 1/8th of def. i send a message, again, since the message yesterday was ignored as lately anything involving def seems to go unanswered... they told me to use my spare jugs and get with my DM about adding it to the fuel stop.... ok um 1... dont ya think if I had spare jugs of def that I would have put them in BEFORE i went under an 1/8th of a tank!!! 2, wait for my DM? its sunday!!! so wait until tomorrow to talk to them, when I will be hitting my fuel stop today.... im not even going to reply, cause I will say something thats gonna turn into me having to call someone tomorrow

Just buy the DEF in the box at the fuel station. Send in for reimbursement "Money Request". One jug should hold you over.

Use your spare jugs huh? I guess they missed the message that told us to dump our spares into the tank and get rid of the bottles. I don't like the idea, but was told if we were caught filling a spare at Brooks they would take it away from us. Surprised they even think you have spares.

I was never told that bit of information... I've had to refill my spares a few times now. They've been telling me to use my spares since I got the truck.

I am going to start doing what Scooter says, that way you avoid any problems resulting from contamination of the refilled, already opened jugs.

if you buy it and then put in for reimbursement and they ask you why you bought it, tell them it's because they aren't doing their job and dispatching the DEF when needed.

Why even have a spot for DEF level on Macro 50 if they refuse to dispatch DEF when a driver checks 1/8 level the night before on Macro 50?

I don't even use the "fuel stop request" canned message for def anymore, I use macro "0" and tell my dm straight up that I need def. 9/10 times I get it when I need it, but a few irregular times I've been forced down to 1/8 tank where I had to use my backup jugs.

I have 2 jugs, they were empty. now I have a 3rd, cause I stopped in grand junction after my def light went from a steady red light to flashing. figured I have 2 choices, let the truck go bone dry, which was my plan or buy it myself and get reimbursed later. the first choice would have left me on the side of the road, in the mountains and Im sure they wouldnt have given a crap how long it took for a tow to get to me, or just pay it and get home...

so we arent supposed to use the jugs huh? Hell im gonna keep using them, and when they ask Im going to ask them if thats the case, why is it when I ask for DEF, the first thing I get asked is if I have spare jugs I can use...

and I have been thinking exactly the same about the macro 50. I figured they just had that to be compliant, but then they changed it to add the def. well Im sure no one is still even looking at those things, its going to get to the point that unless Im out west, im going to start requesting def every day... maybe they'll get tired and just make sure they add it to every fuel stop they give me.
