NOTE: If you come in w/ a CDL in hand, you will only get $500/week for 4 weeks and then get an automatic bump to the $600/week.
NOTE2: The MINIMUM number of miles for TNT changes. If you go through PSD, you get a 10k miles "credit" on the total of minimum miles. So, if the minimum is 40k, you get a 10k credit, and have a MINIMUM of 30k to do with your trainer.
NOTE3: If you and your trainer average 5k miles/week you will finish the minimum TNT miles in 6 weeks (PSD) or 8 weeks (coming in w/ CDL). This is not set in stone, and any mishaps on the road will increase the number of miles you must complete.
As a comparison: JCW's 1st trainer avg miles/week: 5600. 2nd trainer avg miles/week 4700. Same FM, different trainer. (The first one's truck lease was up, and he was taking a couple of weeks off.) BOTH trucks had separate issues that put them down for a week. One had a radiator that had to be replaced (FedEx'd from SpringMo to Detroit, arrived w/o fittings that then had to be FedEx'd from SpringMo.) And the 2nd had the turbo go out.Traveler51 Thanks this. -
still waiting for a call.
What cell phone provider is good for a otr. (I know there is a thread somewhere else, I wanted opinions from Prime drivers) I want something that can surf the interwebs, possibly tether to my laptop, and provide reasonable overall coverage. netflix on downtime would be nice as well. -
I went with sprint, am not a driver yet, but I got the samsung galaxy s 4g by google for free, with the 2 year contract, added the mobile wifi hotspot, with insurance and everything I will be paying about 150 a month, but that is unlimited everything, plus sprint doesn't drop your network speed like some of the other carriers do once you go over a certain gig amount

Re: Cellphone service. YOU MUST HAVE CELLPHONE SERVICE TO DO YOUR JOB.
That being said, what you need is network coverage. Download speeds, unlimited data plans are all extra fluff. You must be able to call and talk to dispatch, road service, etc. Verizon has the best network coverage by far.windsmith Thanks this. -
i know what you are going to say, that there are dvd movies and tv and books you can read, but why have that when you can have tv, movies and books online on your laptop, not that i read books, but i do watch movies and tv on my laptop all the time with my internet connection. Why have all of those items in your truck when you can just have 1 laptop and a internet connection.
I have cell phone service, but am thinking of switching to sprint for the unlimited data service and phone service if i can get on with prime. Just thinking about it right now.

I agree with Verizon. I still have my unlimited data plan
