Help: I Need To Get Away From My Current Company

I agree with Red and Condo. What does your contract say? IMO, you should start filling out mass applications with companies while trying to sell your truck, especially the way used truck prices have gone up. Would you try to open a restaurant without ever working in one?

 

hello im a truckers wife and recently he got a citation/ticket for being overweight and i was wondering whats going to happen he said that he could pay it at a truck stop but i was just looking for insite it what he woould have to do...

 

Pay it at the truckstop? did he say overweight ticket or overweight wicked? He cannot pay a ticket at the T/S. I am assuming this is a joke post.

 

No im very serious,I thought the same wy as you,never heard of paying a ticket at a truck stop".so where does he have to pay this ticket then?? nothing is adding up with everything he tells me so i came here for more logical information. thank you monkeypuncher

 

Would really have to know more. Did his company make him haul it? Did he weigh it first? Does he say he has to pay now at the scale you mean?

 

he is a lease operator for CR England,he is on their lease program that i have heard horror stories about,which i didnt think it was a good idea than either.he had a student on the truck with him at the time,he said the student didnt ck it.he didnt pay at the scale,the border customs officer wrote him a ticket. Thank you

Sometimes they make you pay at the scale before you leave if you are over gross. The student didn't weigh it?

 

I read the thread but I guess I don't understand. If you have your own truck, why don't you go to any other company, container company, logging company... you might be able to sign on with some company like Swift, although I don't know why you would do that... I mean, there are many thousands of companies out there...
