Hi guys, I finally picked a company and I'm leaving out Sunday for Conley, GA. I picked Central because they seemed to be a fairly good company, good training, without TOO many bad reviews. I already have my cdl, gotta take a 2 week "refresher" course. I'm pretty sure I'll be gone for around 2 months, so that's going to take some getting used to. Anyone else starting Monday? Does anyone have any advice? Comments? Let me know.
I'll try to keep this thread updated with my experiences, hopefully it will help someone out.
Wish me luck on my new career.![]()
Start at Central Refrigerated Monday.

keep us posted, looked at them as well but no northwest runs i guess

Sounds like you will be helping their average of good drivers.
They do a lot of business at the distribution center where I deliver. 8 out of 10 clip the curb on the way in. One clipped the fence post two feet inside the curb, halfway up the trailer! And to get out of the situation, guess what he did.... Yep, throttled right through it instead of backing up.
They replaced the gutter on the guard shack one day because it had been smashed by trucks. In three hours it was smashed again!!!!!!! I asked the guard, "was it a central truck. He thought, and said, "You know what? It was!" Hahahahaa
I have met and seem some good ones though.

I think you will be happy with your choice. My wife and I drove team for Central and really loved it! Central is a good medium to large size company. Large enough to keep you busy yet small enough to still treat you like a human being!
The terminal there in Conley is small but nice. The main terminal in Utah though is pretty impressive! Central has really nice equipment too! Makes you feel proud to drive for them.
Its been a few years since we drove for them but if you have any questions I will be glad to answer them for you.
Good luck man!

I would wish you good luck. But I will not.
Instead, I will wish you a great amount of luck and good times.
Pay attention and do the job and learn.
Stay safe out there. -
I am also starting school on monday in conley ga!!

Maybe you could ask the school to teach to not park, and sleep, right across from a driveway entrance! Trucks need that room to get out onto the road!!!
I have no idea why they do it, but again, it has happened often and it has only been central ref trucks???
Maybe it is because there is no parking allowed on the street, so they figure they won't get ticketed if they are right next to the delivery entry point... But that is also where the client has posted their own 4'x4' no parking signs.
sorry to keep bashing... heheheheee I guess I am just venting.
