Expired license a problem?

    Thanks everybody. It seems from the (more or less) consensus here that I'm not going to have a problem.

    BTW, if I recall correctly, and I think I do, you have up to a year to renew your Illinois license (not CDL) after it expires without taking any kind of test.

    A yr to renew your DL,can't beat that.Get busy then and renew it,lol.

    But won't it show on the MVR (is that what it is called? DMV report?) regarding the license history? The one that all, or most, companies ask for?

    Like a start date of 8 or ten years back, then clean up to the expiration. Then reinstated at xx/xx/xxxx date... etc?

    I don't know, but I'm guessing it will. That's part of why I started this thread.

    BTW, I looked at PAM's website, and they say--I forget the exact wording--something like new hires need a valid license for at least one year before starting. It was a little ambiguous, but I was left with the impression that they'd probably care about the scenario I find myself in.
