It has been, I have a parts book for a 4ck, they all were equipped with electronic governors and timing advances.
Kenworths are by far the easiest to convert, it's like they knew I was going to happen.

Thanks for the help guys! Will be starting the rebuild later today or tomorrow and will post up the photos as we make progress.
There are cruise switches on my dash and I'm pretty sure they don't work. After crawling around on the motor the last several days I really don't see how it could work with the present setup. -
That's the old wiring harness for the PEEC. (little black box)
Looks like they're still using one wire for the fuel solenoid power. -

Quick question. Ready to order a new set of injectors for this engine, which injectors are correct since it's got mechanical injection? Regular 3406B injectors?
-
The Only thing about that Fuel system at the time that WAS Electronic was the Fuel Control not the Injectors. Only the Fuel Pump had Electronic Controls on it. The Lines and all that were the same except for a couple boxes on the pump and that was it.

Still working on the tear down and making great progress except for the 7W3906 fuel pump assembly.
As far as I can tell I've got all of the bolts out of the pump that mate it to the block and the front cover of the engine. The pump will wiggle and move around but we can't seem to get it out by more than 1/4" or so.
Does the hub on the front side of the assembly need to come off in order for the fuel pump to come out? -
