Yes with the change of operations the major hubs need more road drivers. I might be getting transferred this summer. I know we almost shut down but we are out of debt pretty much and not going anywhere. If you make the change you will be a lot happier here

Hey Skateboardman, I totally agree and that's what I posted in the first few sentences "job hopping will hurt your chances with these more reputable companies". It's hard to post something and not sound like an advocate for job hopping, and by no means am I that, I was just simply stating that it's not the end of the world in driving.
Personally I could care less to ever drive for companies such as UPS/Conway, and again I'm not advocating my number of jobs, I was just stating a point that I've kept my license clean over the years and have always been able to be gainfully employed.
Do I wish I made different choices over the years, HELL YES!!!!! Do I understand every point you're trying to make to AT, HELL YES!!!!! But I also remember that age, and it wasn't too long ago that I was stubborn as hell and I had it all figured out, no one could tell me differently. I think CT was a knee jerk reaction for AT, I can't blame him I think he had been out 6 weeks previously and I'm sure that 50K guarantee with home everyday and weekends off was hard to pass up, I believe it's the choices he makes from this point on that will shape which direction his driving career goes.
Simply put, I was just pointing out you'll always be working, now it's his choice if he continues down this path and ends up driving a dump truck for 12.00 an hour, or shapes up and makes level headed decissions and ends up pulling a gasoline tanker like he would like to do, "choice is yours kid."The Challenger and American-Trucker Thank this. -
If a driver or even a O/O job hops it is all the matter of time before that dead horse will drag you to undesirable, the cleanest driving record in the world will not get you hired if you are a hopper.
Now here is a bit of information for you, I know nothing but know when to not job hop. It never works for anyone and after a few people look at you like what is this persons problem and employers are no wanting to risk it. Sure you can drive for a bottom feeder, then hoppers learn how good they had it before. -
Ah heck , he is only 22 , besides he suposedly has a few careers ( now NASCAR in his future ) to fall back on if trucking turns out not to be his thing or he needs more than $50,000.00 a year.

That and the fact the NASCAR SEASON has started and their rosters have been filled for anything but the bottom rung teams.
