They have housing and all? The only reason I didnt jump was I would need a place to stay. If they have housing there is that excuse. lol

Yeah, depending on the town/city, like regular apartments and houses for rent at reasonable cost so far, yes. I've even heard of man camps in the more remote towns near the border, and if I'm not mistaken, in George West or Three Rivers. So there go your excuses. lol

I've been hauling crude oil here out of Midland for the last 7 months and thinking about a change. I'm considering a move to Corpus Christi. I was wondering how much I can expect to make hauling gas? I've heard drivers say the pay is pretty good. Just never heard a number or anything about how many hours in a day they put in. Any info you can give will be greatly appriciated.

Our fuelers work. 14 hour days and start at $15 hour (Suncoast)

Thanks for a quick response. 14 hour days are not unusual hauling crude oil. If all goes well in my day I can get started and finish in about 9 hours and make a decent days pay. But 11 to 13 hours seems to be the average. Does Suncoast pay overtime over 40 hrs? And where do you pick up the fuel and where does it get delivered? How many loads do you have to haul? And on average how many miles out/back do you drive? Don't mean to have so many questions. Just trying to decide if gas is a good alternative or stay with crude.

Well you will be taken from the yard daily to the wellsite and you fuel onsite. For a 12 hour day. They have a transport division if that's what you are wanting to do.

I drive out to tank batteries, load the oil, then transport it back to an offloading station. What I assume you guys are doing is load at a refinery then deliver to gas stations, etc. Am I correct?wowo6057 Thanks this.
