Recently just got upgraded to a t2000 now where im loving the room i hate the antenna mounts. Ive been informed theyre for3 radio tv and cb. So dont wanna mess around there too much. However i have a 95w general lee in here and im only getting out maybe a mile or so. So to my question, where can i mount a antenna on this truck thats gonna get me out without having to put any holes in this truck thats gonna get me canned. Thanks in advance

I also have a general lee, when i had my t2 I mounted a preditor 10k coil antenna on the rear grab rail behind the cab. Not the most practical place but i still got out atleast 10 miles

I was looking at doing that with a mirror mount, my only concerns were where and how to run coax, and truck and trailer killing my signal. But if you say youre getting out 10+ with it then i guess only thing left to do is to try lol

They dont have a mirror mount for a t2, atleast havent seen one. They do make a bracket that bolt to the top bracket of the wing. But what ever antenna you use cant be to high. The 10 miles was with the rf all the way up. normally get around 3-5 easy. To many guys out there with weal radios and they never get their swr set on their antenna. If you live in Dayton, exit 99 off 75 is a pretty good shop.

I never even considered that whitey, how did you run coax? Also ive been blowing fuses if i key up too long. Im using the little glass .3a 250v fuses. And thats with rf pwr on low, if i kick it to high its almost instant. Suggestions?

Sshhh Tiller.....Someone might get jealous if they knew who my neighbor in the photo was...Haha!!!... I ran coax secretly.....don't want to be like everyone else and have coax cable everywhere....not sure if the T2000 is exactly the same as T7 as far as where my coax entered the truck and how it was ran...but its worth a shot..give me a ring sometime and I can give you the scoop...or you can ask Tiller next time to talk!! As far as the fuse problem....simple solution is replace fuse with larger fuse!!
