OOIDA loves its lobbing position in congress, their not really for drivers, although they didn't used to be that way.

That's not 110 points. Tell the whole story. I had 70 on mine through 2 log violations, a brake chamber, a chafed hose, and a few other things. They have dropped off, and btw, that wasn't all in one stop.

I'm sure one of those outlaw container outfits in Mobile will hire you.

Ya'll have fun trying to find out who or what this story actually is because as of now it doesn't pass the logic test.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
because when I look them up in the CSA2010 chart (link provided for the chart too) for point values, I can't come anywhere close.
So what's the true story? -
The CSA was put in power, in part to help the unions get independents and non union drivers of the road. When is the last time you heard a teamster complain about the CSA. Trucking is not what it was at one time. The politicians want to control you and give the buddies control of the industry, and kick the rest out.

Would you people please stop refencing outdated sites and tables? I'm begging you to inform yourselves CSA2010.com has nothing to do with CSA. I know it looks all official and all but here is a little secret.
It is a government program. Any site for looking into it officially will end in? Gov.I mean you could always go get one of those Keller pocket books too. Doesn't make them right. -
I hope your carrier didn't release you over this. If they did, it's their loss and probably will be a good thing for you to move on to another carrier that appreciates your level of experience and established safety record.
I have had this happen to me (getting points stacked up on a single inspection). Two rubber glove inspections, one over a year ago and another two months ago. Totalling over a hundred points with the multipliers when they were still fresh. Even had the GA DPS safety auditor point out how a PA officer had incorrectly ticketed a minor equipment issue as a major securement violation. God I was pissed. A couple of little things and now I look like a multiple fatality waiting to happen. I was worried to death that those csa points were going to shoot my MC number straight to bottom-feeder territory.
Well, not exactly. After all that, my carrier csa profile shows "inconclusive" for all categories I've gotten points for. That's because I do care and spend money keeping my equipment legal. Those two inspections were isolated and extraordinary. Once in a while there will be an extra diligent inspection that's going to find something, no matter what you do. The guys that need to worry are the ones that get that stack of tickets on a regular, frequent basis.
For the record, I also disagree with how this program is implemented. I agree with the concept, provided someone reading the reports interprets it properly and understands the context. The problems arise when people that are far too important to understand or bother to learn what the collected data really means, are the ones that will decide to let a 40+ year safe driver go on the merits of 100 or so points. -

393.104(b) Damaged securement system/tiedowns Equipment 7
393.9 Inoperative required lamps Clearance Identification Lamps/Other 2
393.9H Inoperative head lamps Lighting 6
393.75(c) Tireother tread depth less than 2/32 of inch Tires 8
That only comes up with 23 points.
From the CSA.gov website table values.
Or aren't those the right ones either.
That's only 69 points total.
