I was talking to a local fuel hauler who told me how lucky I am to be local. After thinking about it, I could not agree more. I am single, have minimal bills, and have some decent friends who care abut me. I have a cat who likes to ride with me in my car (i am not joking). I also realized one thing that my boss has said to me. You never give up do you Hunter?? Yes and no. It is what you want in life and how mature you are. That is why I never give up. I want to be the best in my industry and excel in the transportation industry.

Sometimes I do 10-12 stops a day. No I am not joking. My coworker does double-triple that. My boss gives me a list of stops to do and I do them. Sometimes I have to go back, do a quick turnaround and restock my truck. It depends on a lot of factors. In conclusion, good local jobs do exist for the right person. Have a good weekend and be safe.

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates.

Monday: Out sick with a bad cold I still possess.

Tuesday: Came into work and did various shop work (filling tanks, detailing the tanks and deliveries) and a couple of deliveries. Went home feeling bad.

Wednesday: Delivered to one of our customers and got a bunch of shop work done.

Thursday: This was fun as I had to bag a lot wet ice for deliveries on Friday as Saturday was CincoDeMiao. In addition, I filled a lot of Co2 tanks.

Friday: Did my normal deliveries and had to attend other. I did deliver a ton of wet ice to a restaurant. Was very interesting as that stuff melts quick; especially when its 80' out. Finished the day by delivering to two customers.

Well today was good compared to my others. I started out by going out and resupplying a customer that ran out over the weekend. After that, I filled for what seemed to be an eternity. I say that as I had a lot to be filled. After that, it was on bagging wet ice. What makes me happy at my job is when my customers thank me for my job. It goes a long way. Some customers do and some do not. Anyways, after bagging wet ice, I went and picked up some supplies that a customer no longer needed. After doing that, I went a got rid of all our trash. Finally, my boss called it a day. Overall, it was a fun and productive day.

    Tuesday:

I got to go due my somewhat regular Tuesday morning route. I say somewhat as it depends on the schedule on who does it. Anyways, I did my two stops without hassle. A little note to people reading this thread: The places I go have very little room for error;especially when maneuvering around their docks. I always GOAL and make a game plan when doing this as my first stop can be busy. I may do this stop up to twice a week but it is hit or miss on whether it will be busy or slow.

Anyways, after doing my stop, I proceeded to my second stop. After offloading, I returned back to the shop. I reloaded our route truck and put away a delivery we got in. After that, I proceeded to do shop chores. Afterwards, I was not feeling good and left work. I then proceeded to the doctors office and some medications for my cold.

    Today:

I had a relatively short day. I did do a couple of deliveries in the beginning. My second task was to load up the truck for tomorrows route. Finally, I bagged more wet ice.

Thank Rubberducky for the get better wishes. I do have a great gig going on and I like it most of time just like any other job.

Edit: I will be starting a Low Carb diet plan that I plan on talking about it here or wherever the mods recommend. One of my weaknesses is soda; therefore I have decided to go with nothing but diet. I got my low carb diet plan from another member who said he lost a good amount weight on here.

    Yesterday:

I got into work and reloaded the route truck. whenever I reload that truck, I always ask our driver if he has any special stops or certain gasses he wants on there. Each day can vary especially Fridays. As my route driver was making extra stops, I loaded the number of tanks he needed for those stops. At that time, my boss told me had some errands he needed to do and told me to help our route driver do ANYTHING he wanted and take care of customers.

After loading the truck, I was assigned to bag wet ice. After doing that, I took a 15min break even though I had an hour left on my shift. At my job, we do not need permission to take a 15min break nor go to the restroom. After taking my 15min break, I filled some more tanks and moved some of our inventory around with the route driver. After that, he left to home and I did some chores with my boss.

    Today

Today was short and sweet. I made my daily Friday run and had fun. While at the stop, I asked for some boxes as I need to box some random stuff at home. I was told take whatever you want. Schhhhweeeeet!!!!:biggrin_25514::biggrin_25514: After strapping in my load, I took off for the shop and got my next orders. This is where my boss shows his soft side in my opinion. I had told him I had doctors appointment this afternoon and he said lets taike care of this customer then we will do some of the route stuff so I can get back in time to go to the doctor. I have always liked this boss a lot. This is one reason why. After going out to the customer and servicing them, I returned to reload for next stops which was four. One hour after departing, I returned back with empties. I was happy and so was my boss upon seeing my ticket invoices. After filling my empties, my boss cut me loose.

After my doctors appointment, I returned back to get my boxes and took care of some other stuff. Overall, it has been a good week and no complaints.

Ok guys. So far this job is going along but I have been having some trouble lately. I will admit, this is not the job like it was when I first started. I would like to learn more. As a result I have talked to my dad and mentor. I did find out from dad I have three options in improving my and working to my goals.

    * Stick it out here and see if my boss will teach me more
    * Go back to college or trade school
    * Go back trucking

I'm 25 and would like to get into a relationship and get into a good job driving. Those are my goals. My job has been in Class B work. I have yet to decide what I want to do.

This week has had its high and low points. The hours are great but its a job. I have been sick with a sinus infection that refuses to go away. Anyways, I was talking to my dad and he said I have done real good for who I am. I am diaganosed with Aspergers Syndrome and my life is not a box of chocolates. I have to try even harder than most people who do the same job. Even then it is not good enough sometimes. Right now I am hanging in there. Often, I feel like a screw up because I make mistakes. I do not intentionally make mistakes. My dad told me, just to be honest and try my hardest.

Today I had a lady buy me a coke at a bar because of my integerity and honesty. I was delivering and saved her boss some money while beiing honest. I told her she did not need this product when she had enough. I went to the office to get my check and she said her boss likes honest people like me. She offered to buy me a coke. I graciously accepted. My throat hurt and was craving liquid like a jetliner that suucks fuel. In the end, this customer loved me. Overall, my day was like a EKG; up and down repeatedly. I will try and post more.

Well guys, Friday was an exciting day. I got to do my Friday delivery. Upon reaching the receiver, I learned their truck had caught fire. Thankgoodness it was not a big one or I might be making an extra trip just to visit shipping and receivivng. Upon coming back, I got my orders; eight stops and load up accordingly. Well I had success in selling 90% of my truck. Only two items remained. Not bad considering one customer took half of my Co2 tanks since they were out.

I would like to emphasize something: Take care of your customers and they will take care of you. Two customers on this hot day offered me drinks and they did not charge me one cent. I happily accepted. I always use RED (I was taught this at Publix) when dealing with customers.

    Recognize
    Emphasize
    Deliver

Everywhere I go there is always a problem; be it with our tanks or the service. I recongnize what the problem. I see what I can do if it involves me. I then deliver a final verdict on how I can assist them. Sometimes I have to call my boss if the problem is out of my control which does happen.
