While I'm not a pro union guy, it seems to me that is exactly why drivers need to work together. It takes more than the voice of what some would refer to as a "disgruntled driver" to bring about change.

One voice can be swept under the rug. A large portion of the company however, well, we can't be losing money now can we?

You are never going to change a company by not working for them. There will always be someone else there to take your place in the seat. I left USA Truck after being threatened with my job for refusing to run illegal or drive unsafe. If you search my name in the forums I'm sure you can find more than a few of my gripes with them, but according to their SMS score it seems to me that they're still up to their old ways.

Right before i left my schneider, my first company as a driver back in december 1996(55 mph POS flat roof cabover!LOL), i put in my 2 week notice, after i had been screwed out of my vacation(which was supposed to start on t- giving day, and they had sent me a letter "guaranteeing" it, but that's another barrel of monkeys) my STL, aka schneider trained liar, and his co- horts in the seville,oh terminal, proceeded to intensify the screwing. To get home, for which i was still living near the buffalo area, they gave me a 3- drop load out of philly with all 3 drops being within a 10- mile radius of their guelph, ON terminal........eh? Ok, simple enough, but here's where it got interesting. Each stop was 4 days from the pickup, which gave me some time at home, but each one on a different day, and each stop having its own customs broker, and i had to get across the border by 6 am, and not till after 1 am. No PARS, no FAST, just wake each broker up out of bed, get the paper work done, and clear each stop before going to the next broker. It was still 0630 when i finally got to the customs desk with the final stop paperwork completed. The agent looked at me, seeming to notice my now sleep- deprived bloodshot eyes, and asked, "did you piss someone off at your company"? To which i replied, "i put my 2 week notice in", which got a sympathetic response. My boss proceeded to jerk me around more by forcing me to stay with that load for each stop, all 3 days.

To this day i still hate schneider with all of my being, and every day i ask god to wipe that company off the face of the earth, even 16 years after i happily departed that hell hole of a company. To which they responded years later with repeated calls and mail ads trying to persuade me to return, offering the"same great pay(.25 a mile, meh), same great freight(like the aforementioned load), and same great equipment"(aforementioned POS cabover, and equally POS wabash trailers), to which i responded which orifice they could shove those items. Thankfully, i never heard from them again, except a couple of loads that i haul that they brokered to my company, which they screwed me on those 2 loads. And people wonder why i hate orange trucks!:biggrin_2559:

He/she probabley thought the company you drove for had "transformers" for equiptment, and that you could morph into a DC10.
"Hey it's only a couple of inches on the map".
