sidepocket ,,,, How long have you been on the road ? do you ever take time off or just keep on rolling ,,
I guess the trucking Company's do not care if you live in there truck ,, is there ever a point they might say hey shut it down and take a few days off ?? or no ??
I wish i was already out there and had a few Direct Deposits in already ......
and LOL @ bEANS AND rICE -
pattyj ,,, I am sure his Conviction had a major roll to play in him getting 18 months on top of his other sentence ,,
But ,, its sets the stage for other Judges to refer to and a warning to other truckers ,
I have no thoughts of wanting to do or be shady ,, i just don't have that in my blood, if i cant do it the right way and make money then its not what i want to be apart of .
Don't get me wrong i have been known to fudge things here and there from time to time but if it means dealing with the Law then its not happening LOL .. lets not talk about my younger days ,,Onetruckpony, Newtrucker83 and pattyj Thank this. -

You guys have the hard part down, getting your head into it.I-80Trucker Thanks this. -
I'm going in with my eyes wide open, but embracing it all (the good and the bad) and going to try to remain as "teachable" or "coachable" or whatever term the yuppies are using these days, as possible! (and I C/P'd your post into my "Trucker notes.doc")
Just saw "when" you posted--sorry for the late reply--pulled a 2nd shift today...I-80Trucker and chompi Thank this. -
Hey I-80, how far are you from Half Moon Bay?
Just something to think about but when I drove for Central, your home town area was a hot spot. Between the produce, hershey, nestle etc... we were always around that area. Whenever we went to Salinas or that area, sometimes we would have to wait for them to pick the produce. We would check in, drop our trailer and go to the beach for awhile! Sometimes go and get some Garlic ice cream!

Chompi ,,
I Am about 1 hour from Half Moon Bay ,, on the other side of the the Bay Bridge, heading east I-80 Solano County.
Ha Ha ,, yes i have herd about the Garlic ice Cream but never Tried it.
Central ,, thank you for the Tip i will Def, look into them .
Funny thing is as long as i have lived here in the Bay Area , I never Drive out that Direction much , other then to go to San Fransisco for the day or to the air port in oakland or SFO . Or like you say to the beaches Along I-1 ... -

Half Moon Bay (Mavericks) One of the largest waves on the planet!
Ya man, look into Central if that sounds like something you are interested in. My wife and I drove for them and really loved it! One reason I recommend Central is that they really went above and beyond for us and they do everything they can to help their drivers succeed. Sure they have their ups and downs but overall they are a well rounded company. Nice equipment too! You feel proud to drive their trucks!
I know we used to pass thru your area all the time so getting by the house would be a little more easy for you if you were driving for them. They also have a small drop yard there around Stockton. Been a few years since we drove for them so not sure if they still have that drop yard but being a produce hauler and also have accounts with hershey and nestle in that area would get you through there quite often.
They also have a school in Fontana, CA and Salt Lake if you are interested.
Sound like a recruiter huh?
Let me know if you need anything man!
I-80Trucker Thanks this.
