Wow man what a mess... Actually I did the same thing when I bought my truck. You put your signature on the back of the title when you buy and then have 30 days in TN to go to your local courthouse and get a new title issued in your name. Small oversight on my part, fast forward 2 years later I'm ready to lease on with Landstar and they needed a title in my name... Had to go to my local courthouse pay the small fee, show them a lease agreement with the MC # of the carrier I was leasing on with so I didn't have to pay state sales tax, and they issued a new title that I got in the mail about a week later. I understand every state is different but it might be worth a shot for you to go down to your local courthouse and see if they can help you get a title issued in your name.

Well, I know one guy with his own authority you could run for out of Topeka but he's one of those old school toss the logbook out the window types that can't maintain his trucks. That and I was driving his son's truck for him, that was also falling apart, and he stiffed me on three weeks pay.

The only other place I can think of runs tankers out of KC. Pretty good company but you'd likely end up with road tar all over your truck.

Get this, to make matters even worse. Kansas closed the ENTIRE tag dept. for about ten days to upgrade their computer system. So I had to wait and wait. Well, they reopened everything up on the 8th of this month.

I spent 6 hours standing in line last Tuesday. I sincerely thought there was gonna be a riot with all the upset people at the DMV lol. I got there at 7;30 am. They didnt open till 8am. I was about the 100th person in line. When my number was finally called, I spent less than 5 minutes talking to the lady. She told me she couldnt help me (my Vin didnt even show in their system) and I needed to talk to the IRP office.

I wish I could get that many miles. I haven't hit over 4 grand since I was running for Arrow back in 07. It's all been short hauls since then. Granted I still knock off a bit over 2 loads a day unless I get stuck at a dock for 7 hours. Or I did until this last guy that was a rolling disaster.

Oh man, Kansas, what a nightmare. I don't know what to tell you. Only thing I can think of is maybe find an attorney that could help you. I hate them as much as anyone, but sometimes they can work the system in a way us civilians can't.

I had one of those days. Took two loads to a feedlot today both loads rejected...had to take to another feedlot 50 miles away. Told merchandiser don't send me back with that crappy corn. Corn had live bugs in it elevator must have really let that corn get bad.

I had a load of corn last summer that was kinda like that, WH. Weevles had ate ALL the heart out of it and i knew it was going to be bad when my load gauge was at 18psi with the front hopper almost full:biggrin_25513:,by the time i got it loaded FULL,i was barely showing 64lb psi,so i told the farmer he would be lucky to get the mill to take it. I also told him if he didn't spray for weevles after he emptied that bin,he would have a disaster on his hands this year. I rolled across the scale at the mill and barely grossed 76,000lbs,and i'm telling ya,it was FULL. If i'd had normal 56lb corn on being that full,i would have been grossing at least 100,000lbs:biggrin_2559:. I bet the stuff was no more than 45-48lb test-weight,you could hold it up to the sun and see clean thru it:biggrin_25513:. Funny thing was,the mill took it:biggrin_25524:. They must have needed corn BAD:biggrin_2559:.

    Harvest started yet?

Nope. Give it another week or week and a half. Temps been in mid 80's...supposed to have strong winds next few days so that will speed it along. I've seen merchandisers on load boards wanting more trucks in ks so may be overwhelmed with trucks. Don't think wheat will be as good as they think.
