Duct tape, electrical tape, zip ties, screw drivers, wrenches, socket set, crescent wrench, locking pliers, set of pliers, torx set (depending on truck), hammer. Get cheap tools at harbor freight to carry in the truck.
Oh and crimping tool and electrical connectorsNewNashGuy Thanks this. -
OK can you be a little more specific on socket set and wrenches? -
I have something similar to this that stays in my truck: http://www.sears.com/craftsman-evol...0910025000P?prdNo=15&blockNo=90&blockType=G90
And you can get a 6 piece pliers set at harbor freight for under $10. Look for coupons and you can save lots of money there. -

When I hauled van, a pair or two of vise grips came in handy more times then I can count!

That & Duct Tape is Man's best friend. -
You need to be able to fix air lines and leaks of various sizes. Same goes for Water and Fuel lines. You should be able to tighten lines and hoses.
Should be able to change Belts.
Should be able to change filters.
Should be able to Tie Up loose lines, a way to suspend things from dragging.
Just a few of the most common things you will need to do to get off the road or to a repair facility.ed41041972 Thanks this. -
Best regardsrockee and ed41041972 Thank this.
