I once dropped a load in Detroit, then turned down a load going to Ohio to be picked up the same morning (I had an important conference call regarding and including my son that I was not going to miss or postpone). Well, they showed me. My next load was 12 miles, dropping that afternoon. This was followed by a FOUR mile delivery the next morning (the last two from the Woodhaven OC).
It was the last time they did this to me. I was gone a month or so later. If weekend shift wants to play "We'll show him", fine. I didn't play it long. My personal life does not stop just because I'm not home.

So I'm sitting here wondering why my phone says 9pm and its still light out...... My phone is supposed to auto switch to whatever time zone I'm in, and it does.... But a Google search shows that its 8pm in Denver right now. 1 hour ahead of my home time zone. I was up here a couple days ago and my phone was correct, but not currently.......

Schneider Schneider Schneider, you never cease to irritate the hell out of me. Picked up a ###### relayed load today, 60 miles in all, with a 3 hour unload scheduled for delivery from 0700-1200 today. Got here to find out that it isn't scheduled for delivery until tomorrow. They said they can get me unloaded when a door opens up, right now atleast 2 drivers are ahead of me, and a 3rd just pulled up.
-
Not surprised... Had that happen a few times. -
Well, called up dbl and atleast I'm getting detention

I got to my 0700 live unload appointment at 0645. Go into the office, lady gets on the phone for like 20 minutes.
Then marks on my paperwork that I was there at 0705! WTH!
Then she tells me to pull into dock 26 after the truck in there pulls out.
over an hour later, the truck pulls out, I pull in. In the meantime, 6 more trucks pull up, and she tells all of them to pull into dock 26 when the next truck pulls out.
OHHHH, but that isn't the best part. around 1030, when they haven't even lowered the ramp on my truck, a few of us go to the office and we are told all of us will have to drive to their "other" warehouse, 13 miles away to get unloaded, because they are full here, and that warehouse is FCFS.
Guess who got their last because they were in the dock and had to close their doors!!!!!!!
TO top it off, THAT warehouse left 13 pallets in my trailer and said they won't take them!!! WTH am I supposed to do with them!
Man, what a morning!!!
And I lost my next load because I couldn't make the pick up time because of all this bs. -

3.5 hours later and I'm finally up to the dock!

Incredibly happy right now! Yet not happy because I don't have a preassignment yet. But happy because I actually found a parking spot at the TA in Commerce City CO. 15:00 and this place is packed. Drove around the lot about 4 times hoping someone would leave and open up a spot. I luckily found a spot hidden back behind the shop and store, between a dropped trailer and some storage boxes. Nobody else saw it because nobody else wanted to go back here because its a deadend!
I'm assuming I won't get a preassignment for today so I'm glad I found a spot to park it!
