I bought a used one last year with supposedly low hours from a guy in Springfield, Mo. Been nightmare since. til I finally cut all the computer wires and put it on just a few switches. Good engine but no parts available and the Manufacture in California has been shut down by gov. because bad business practices. I actually tried to get parts from Manufacture before they got shut down and they wouldn't sell any to me because I bought the unit used. Computer kept shuting unit down for so many different reasons. I love having an Apu and it does heat and cool great now that it has only an on and off switch and a thermostate for the inside.
I trade for about any outher brand though and being a 3cylinder enstead of 2 cylinder difinitly uses more fuel also.

Looked at these and besides the fact that service and install was limited, with all the APU companies going down in flames a company that is already having problems and in a long legal battle seemed too risky.

Thanks for the heads up Bill. Hadn't heard of their legal troubles. Just knew a couple people with them and couldn't be happier. I had planned on getting one, IF, but thats another topic. Will do some more research on them. As usual.....you the man on here.

i am a o/o and my latest trk a 2011 cascadia i got a tri pack thinking it would be a money saver, wrong, thing is a peice of junk, thing breaks down on a monthly basis and this was a new unit bought in fall of 2011,for the first 6mounths or so they fixed it under warennty but even though it is still under warenty the thermo king will not cover it only if it is a major falure like a blown engine, with the unit i have it is always broken wires or the altinator and this just happened it recently brokedown by phoenix so took it to thermo king and 5 days later broke down again so took it to another thermo king they re-did the repair and told me i need to take it up for a refund with the phoenix shop, guess what after a lot of phone calls they refused to make it right so the only option i have is to try to fight it with my depit card

I'm checking out the different APU's myself. Used a TriPak for awhile. Had a lot of bugs in it. Was in the shop with it quite a bit. I've been looking at Dynasys & Rig Master. Rig Master has 3 different models. Right now I have an Esopar bunk heater. It works great I never idle in winter. These 2 APU's I've looked at are all about the same weight, the heaviest is one of the Rig Masters, it weighs 450 pounds, the others were 300 to 350 give or take. I'm looking more at the features. The heat/ac, engine heater, inverter and automatic start & stop for batteries. I've seen Rig Master installed for $7900& the Dynasys for $7950.

You mean for the wheels?....I use them on the steers...
as the tires wear down...less rubber on the tire...
    they "balance" the entire wheel/hub..assembly....
but to a point, they don't balance them completely....
I've had considerably less vibration since I've been using them...
    worth the money...

I believe he means their APU... I've never even talked to anyone with it. TRIPac... never leave home without it!
