My recollection is that WAW and Sunland are one and the same, Shepard I don't know. The equip is older and kind of dirty, might run good but I can't say. They require, or used to, the driver to give them a hefty deposit in case of damage and stuff that is your fault, the biggest problem with that is... you aren't the only one using the truck! If you go home for a day or two they will have someone jump in the truck so be warned and be thorough in your inspections EVERY time you go near the truck! The older dirty trucks was a turn off but paying them to drive their truck is a little over the top for me!

Expect to be pushed to run hard, illegal hard. I have a good friend that had his wife work in the office. Her job, help drivers redo their log books to make them legal to be able to run more freight. No joke... She no longer works there because she refused to do that. At orientation, which is only about two hrs and that is to introduce you to key people and tell you how to do paperwork, they hand you two logbooks and jokingly say they hope you know how to run dual logs for you can make good money if you do. Lots of Brooklyn freight. It is common to leave Davenport in the morning and be pulling into the yard the following evening to grab next load.

Is that a bad thing? I know I like to make money.
Geuss you could have 3 to 5 days orientation with little or no pay and e logs so you can take a 10 right down the road from home.
just sayin.

STAY AWAY FROM WAW!
I live near haines city, I called them regarding a job ad I saw on craigslist. The recruiter sounded very nervous talking to me on the phone, wouldn't answer most of my questions about what they did, who their customers were, what the condition of the trucks were, pay, etc. And I've seen a couple posts on craigslist that ex-drivers made, warning others to stay away. Seems they're a small outlaw operation, and don't even pay very good, with bad equipment.Feather Su Thanks this. -
I refuse to drive that hard anymore, its not worth the risk.Feather Su Thanks this.
