Lol. I was told by my old dbl before I was switched over that people with eta accuracy of 75% or more generally get 250 more miles per week then people with eta accuracy of 25% or less. He had a list with his most accurate drivers and a second list with his least accurate drivers. I wasn't on either list so I must be somewhere in the middle. I have a bad habit of accepting the load before updating etas.

Yea supposedly any eta accuracy above 70% gets a 40mile bump. in load mileage. Yea what ever. This BS about paying for performance pay instead of giving anal raises is BS. Just another way to make the CEOs wallet fatter and drivers more poor.

As I said before, you're reading that message wrong.
They are saying that their statistics show that people with a higher accuracy tend to move more miles in a day because they aren't spending as much time sitting around waiting for a new assignment.
Lately I've been getting me next pre-assignment within the last 5-10 miles of driving to my final stop. I'm usually pretty close to what my ETA says. If I know for a fact that I can make the delivery long before my ETA I'll stop and change it to an earlier time so that they can start looking for something sooner.
The people who aren't accurate with their ETAs get less miles because they spend more time sitting waiting for a new assignment because the planners weren't expecting them to arrive earlier than their ETA/NAT.
They are not rewarding the guys that are accurate. They are just able to plan them better because they know sooner when that driver is available. The guys who aren't accurate can't be planned as well.
I always add an extra 1-3 hours to my ETA at the beginning of a longer trip just in case I get stuck in traffic, get overly hungry, don't hear my alarm and over sleep, or decide to make a bathroom/rest stop every 30 minutes(I have done this when tired so I could stay awake and keep moving).
When I start getting closer to my final stop I'll edit the ETA to an earlier time if I think I'll be a lot earlier than my original time. -
So do the planners work 24/7, or do they leave at 5pm like the DBLs?
I made a mistake and updated my NAT to tomorrow. However, after I did that, I spoke to my DBL and she said she'd let the planners know I was available. Nothing came through as a pre-assignment. Should I call the support shift people or just be patient. It's been a while, and now I'm just going to call it a night since I only have an hour and change left on my 14. Helps! -
best to wait since your bingo 14 that's what there most likely seeing and haven't sent any thing. And yes there should b some one in green bay load planning 24/7

Here at the walmart dc in grandview wa, load is supposee to be ready at 1800, its 1805 and isn't ready yet. I was hoping to be able to pick of right up because I'd have enough time left on my 14 to get back down to the Portland OC and go home for the night. But if it isn't ready anytime soon i wont.

That is true but usually with live unloads u can't readjust nats because those loads suck. Any I'm just posting what I got my qualcomm. But I still feel it is true though drivers with higher etas average do get better mileage it also can do with your dbl like mine is on vacation and I've gotten #### loads all week. And every one of etas have been spot on.

Thanks, moosc.
I have another question. I'm totally allowed to drive to a truck or rest stop after dropping, yet not having a new assignment, yes? I mean, that's what I did, lol. -
