Phase 2 Training is 8-13 days. No guarantee that it will be 8. My current student has been with me for 11. They will route you to terminal when they are able. Be patient and take the extra time to learn as much as you can.

If I remember correctly, you need to be on duty or driving for 6.5 or so hours per day of training to get training pay. I'm surprised you are running out of hours...either way, I agree...pick the trainers brain as much as you can. It will help when you run solo.

i run my students out of hours all the time, because i don't do anything but sit in the sucker seat and nag them. they essentially drive solo with me as a guardian angel. when they run low on time, i'll drive as well. but i run out of hours too, running as hard as we do.

they have to have 6 hours on duty to get training pay for a day. my last student was with me for 14 days, and was only driving partial days at the end because he hit his 70 every day. if they don't have enough in their 70 to get 6 hours, i'll run them into over-70 to make sure they get paid.

I'm getting really bored over in the jump seat. Especially on long stretches of interstate. I'm taking a break and running solo next week out of sheer desperation to drive the truck a little.
