Time for Prime.....

Tried to post a couple of times yesterday.....but coming across the bottom of New Mexico.....by the time I got what I wanted to say put in....LOL.....I lost signal!!

We left out of Springfield on Thursday headed to LA for a 2 stop Monday... I wanted to get her into Cali....Picked a heck of a weekend to do it....Fought 35+ mph head/side winds all the way out....had to get the computer on the truck checked out in Amarillo.....Ended up being a good thing we had too much time from the get go....

Well....we get our deliveries done....then they say....Go to LAX....got a FedEx load for ya! Going to Ft. Worth....Goodie I say....Momma says....Huh? So, I explain to her the benefits of 1332 mi.....In 29.5 hrs.....for $2008.65....and the box only had 10K in it! She finally got a taste of running.....LOL

Today, she says....let's start over. A little slower. I laughed. She did a heck of a job tho....Once I got her out of LA(we left @ 0100 PDT)... Saw fires....trucks blown over.....and numerous wrecks where single cars had run off the road.....she also got a good light show coming across 10.... Said she had never seen so many falling stars!!! Loved it.... She didn't like driving through Phoenix @ 0800 on a Tuesday morning tho....LOL! I told her it was way better than trying to get out of LA @ that time! Oddly, she believed me!

We dropped our trailer @ FedEx, Fort Worth...(3 hours early I might add) ...went to the Pilot....and took a nap while we waited on the geniuses @ HQ to help us along our journey.....well....around Noonish.... here went the Qualcomm.....Beep...Beep....etc. Grab and empty....DH to Lufkin, TX....Grab a load of chicken....and guess where....you got it...Cali!

Going to Merced....with the DH....right about 1900 mi....$2895 and change. Came out to just over $1.52 mi. Oh, in case anybody is too lazy.....or doesn't know how to figure it....the FedEx paid just over $1.50 mi. This one delivers Sat @ 0600....told momma we could prolly get it moved up to Friday.....She said "Lets wait 'til we come back from our time off before we really crank it up"..... I'm still gonna try to talk her into it, tho. We'll see who wins this one......Nah....we all already know!

Ok, guys....I understand that it really burns some of you that I come in here LEASING a truck.....I'm not even an O/O! But, I feel that if a man (or woman) wants to try to get out and do what they feel is best for them....they should get to see all the options. And Prime is a very viable option for 75% of the people looking to have some freedom. Not all of us have the good credit....or relatives that own small companies....or families that can set us up.

I haven't mis-represented anything in this thread. The numbers that I quote(and sometimes have to fix)....are all on paper. It wouldn't do me any good to lie about the kind of money I....excuse me......now it's WE are making. I haven't said that every day is fantastic....but, even when they suck....I feel that they are still better than driving a Company truck.

Oh...Vegas....I really feel bad for your daddy, uncle, best friend's momma, and whoever else you can think up that have gotten screwed over doing a LEASE PURCHASE.....but they probably didn't do them @ Prime. With one whole year under your belt.....you should stick to things that you have done.....If you ain't lived it....don't go around spewing crap out of your mouth(computer in this instance)....especially when you haven't been there. Maybe after you get a little more fuzz on your gonads....you'll consider getting out here and working for a living.....instead of riding on your friends/relatives...I don't even remember who it was that GAVE you a job.

Anyway, I try not to let people get to me.....but when I see some rookie telling stories about what someone else SAID happened to them.....and they are trying to bring down something that I KNOW works...I get a little steamed.

To those of you that want to learn more about how it works here....I'll be glad to let you know.....If you want to slam Prime.....tell me your Employee Code....and old Truck # and once I verify that you(or they) actually worked here....I'll be glad to talk to you, too. But, if you just want to come in here and talk crap about MY company.....be ready. Have a good day!

 

Thanks Vulcan.....when you gonna get out here? I'll find you a buy you a steak dinner....I know a place where they got great food....and the atomsphere is fantastic! It's the Prime Cafeteria!!! Food cooked to order....then you can go play some Basketball with the owner in the awesome gym....you better be on your game tho....he plays for keeps! Tell your son to look me up....67818....his trainer should know how to get in touch.

 

Now how freaky is that.....we both posted to each other's thread at almost the same time....and we were being nice to each other.....AMAZING..... Thanks, Bronc...I need all the support I can get.

I think it has to do with discipline.....in 93 when I was here....I could have done A LOT better....but, my priorities weren't lined up the way they are now.....
