Nope. No Fleese Lease for me, company man all the way -- for now. There's plenty of happy drivers at Prime who last for years.
Since I know nothing of the Truckin' Biz, I would dare consider leasing and from what I know, they don't try to shove the lease down down your throat. I've been "told" tis better to get a good schooling CDL then look for work. I might do that if I had around 3 grand laying around and could go several weeks without working. I've also been told all I need to do it make it thru my first year then hunt for the so called "greener pasturs". So when school is out -- off I go.

    Everett Thanks this.

Not so sure about Arnold. The "school" (http://www.arnoldtrans.com/index.php?/student-drivers/) costs $5,400 and they take
out $150 a month. Do the math, and it will take 36 months to pay it back at that rate. Their site is vague as to how long you HAVE to drive to be debt free, but compared to Prime, sorry I don't see a real advantage. Just my lowly new driver opinion.

I assumed you already had a cdl, and were looking for experence driving, the cost are different in that case. There are several companies close to you and they are all better than prime.

Nope. I have a B CDL w/ passenger, student and haz mat. Still need the whole A CDL nine yards.
Several near me in NC? I'm not aware of them... can you share that info with me please?

The schnieder national boys have a school in charlotte. And you can negotate the fee based upon your current license, also your state will have a program to pick up part of your cost.

Schneider USED to have training schools, but no more. Any other companies? You used the word "several".

Also, in NC, there's been a freeze on all funding programs for the time being. Eg; School bus drivers haven't had a raise in over SEVEN years! Thanks anyway, but I've done some serious investigation so far. There are no pots 'o gold at the end of any rainbow, but if I can get on with a company with reasonably good equipment, decent first year pay, then I'll be okay.

I know already they are out there, it's now down to the sifting and sorting.

The orange boys have 13 schools listed in your state that they will help you attend, but once again an up grade license is different than starting from with no cdl.

try ffe -- they have you out in your own truck in about 8 weeks -- prime sends you out team for your first 6 months i think --- ffe school is free as long as you stay 1 year 455 a week in training then 29 amile for first 6 months solo -- not fantastic but you get started-- the school is in ft worth
