hey thanks gerjamr, i kinda figuerd if find a gig that was "to good to be true " :biggrin_25513:,well at least for the next year and half, any other company that is just as great out there? reading these post, it seems like there are lot of good compaines, but i want to find one that is as good, or as close to good as TMC, i dont want the recritors to come to my school and " see me coming" and say to themselves " here comes one, lets **** him over and make sound really good", so what are some other ones ( flatbeds ) that are at least almost as good

IMHO it's better to get your CDL on your own that way you are not a company's whipping ***** for 2 yrs or longer bc they paid for your schooling/permit/cdl/endorsements...that's just a cruddy situation to be in.

Depends on the co. Ours is a 6 month contract if they put you through their school.

Anyone know of TMCs hiring policy with respect to a person who has OSA (sleep apnea), and is using a CPAP with a one year DOT card?

Yes I am still with TMC and I still like it. I haven't been online lately since I have been busy when I have been home, and one weekend I was at a truckstop in South Dakota without "affordable" internet. $7.95 for 24 hours was more than I was willing to pay.

H-D Wrench: I apologize for the behavior of my fellow TMC driver. I personally try to refrain from weaving in and out of traffic when exceeding the speed limit by more than 10 mph.:biggrin_25525:

Honorus: I am sorry I have no idea about the acceptance of your condition. Since you do have a one year DOT card (renewable I assume) there should be no reason in my mind that TMC should turn you down if you are really serious about working for them. You may need to be persistent in the hiring process.

JasonW: I also believe that you should get your CDL on your own with no strings attached. TMC will reimburse your tuition at $100 per month for school that you paid for out of pocket or with a loan. They can also sponsor you through school if you really want.
