Great Post Linte_Loco. I'll be graduating CDL school mid July and am really considering TMC. I really want to get on with a solid, reputable company that's selective, and looks for hard working safety minded drivers. I feel I could excel with TMC. I've enjoyed reading the post regarding TMC. Seems like a good choice. I'm also considering Maverick and Crete however TMC appears to be the best option thus far.
I'm a bit nervous about graduating the TMC program in October however. Fresh out of school I'll shortly be into winter driving. I'm confident in my driving and equipment capabilities ... just not sure what to expect winter driving if graduating so close to the winter months. I'll be in CDL school until mid July and if I go with TMC I'll start in August/Sept. Any advice you can provide a newbie regarding winter driving? Thanks
My first year at TMC

Been there 3 times since always in winter. Never have seen a blade of grass there. They kept telling me to stay off the grass. I`m thinking what grass?
They would rather you stop and call them if you feel unsure about a certain winter road than go on. You just have to take your time, pay attention, and if you`re going too slow and becoming a hazzard to others.....get off the road. TMC would rather be late or lose a load than lose a driver and truck.jmthomas Thanks this. -
TMC is a very good company to start your career with.. Ive had the privalage to work with them in my early years of driving and they are good to there drivers.. I think your making a wise decision in your choice...
jmthomas Thanks this. -

It dont have anything to do with your making money. They do it for safety and to safe fuel. Theres no reason for 80,000lbs to be going 70 mph. Im not starting anything, Im just saying.
Oh, you dont want to be the guy that gets caught friggen with one of their trucks. -
