With all the talk about the oil fields & every one beg'n for drivers (I know they are because I've called a couple companies to find out for myself) where would a man go if he wanted to land the best job out ther?
Have'n serious thoughts about go'n to Texas, have talked with Martin & it sounds real good but which companies are considered to be the best ??
I'm think'n long term & want a job fit to retire from, I want the full pay, bonuses (and the chance to earn it, even if they pay $$$ a load if ya cant get the load ya starve), benifits, retirement, good well kept equipment & training, and to be treated with respect.
What say you ?? & prefer someone whos actually in this line of work, rumors are worthless.
Oil fields...who to drive for ??

Plains all American is probably the one of the best companies in the oilfield to work for. The pay is great, benifits and bonuses are really good. They have a yard in three rivers and they have a few yards in west Texas. They are picky about who they hire but it's a job you could retire from. Chesapeake also has a crude hauling division. I don't have first hand experience with the division but Chesapeake as a company treats their people great.

Gas is so plentyfull that the price has fallen to where they can't afford pump it out of the ground. Drilling company investors have lost money because the commodity they are producing isn't worth enough to get a return on their investment.

I was surprised no one mention North Dakota. That where the money is. I'm live in western Colorado work for a local hot shot company I make at least 5-6 trips to North Dakota.

My mom used to live in S.D. & N.D. so I've heard about the winters up ther, dont think I want to work in that kind of cold & weather, cant make any money if your snowed in or stuck in the mud.
