blind be careful; some states such as indiana, illinois, kansas, & a few others will write u a hefty ticket for parking on an on/off ramp. it is still considered the highway. i got a ticket like that 4 yrs ago in ohio on I75 north of dayton & cost me a bundle even with a lawyer; so just be careful

For those that dont know, you cannot run "cowboy, outlaw, inlaw" whatever. Not at TMC. You will do it their way, or you wont drive for them. Period. Times have changed. The FMCSA is not going anywhere. I am glad for the regulations and rules. Just take a stroll through the parking area at any truck stop. Look at the trucks, and the drivers. The cowboy days are gone.

Well tonight Ive got a whole lot better parking. Its my 2nd favorite. If I cant park in a rest area, give me a Walmart super center. Im kinda worried about walmart tho, the parking lot is starting to look like a truck stop. Give it time and the turds will ruin parking here for everyone. But hey, so far so good. Thanks for the tip about the on ramp. I dont like parking there, but when your out of hours and in the middle of no where, whatcha gonna do? I even tried to park in the weight station just up the road, nope! The state had it blocked off. The rest area I was trying to make it too wasnt there. It showed it on the map, but it wasnt on the ground. Like I said, whatcha gonna do?

If your going to park on a ramp, make sure it's the on-ramp side. I've worked several wrecks were a truck was parked at night, parking lights on, the next sleepy driver it's the ramp and plows into him, usually killing the driver of the moving truck, and more often than not the parked driver also. If you're on the on ramp side, his speed can't be enough to cause to much damage if he hits you. Never park on the side of the interstate, your just asking to get run over.
