Oil fields...who to drive for ??

Plains all American is probably the one of the best companies in the oilfield to work for. The pay is great, benifits and bonuses are really good. They have a yard in three rivers and they have a few yards in west Texas. They are picky about who they hire but it's a job you could retire from. Chesapeake also has a crude hauling division. I don't have first hand experience with the division but Chesapeake as a company treats their people great.

 

From what i understand Chesapeake isnt doing so well. least in Pa. my advice is to stay away from Pa. i run here in the NE and things arent like they used to be, had 22 hrs in last week, i mainly run for shell. rent prices are beach front w/o the water. thinking on moving back to florida

 

Gas is so plentyfull that the price has fallen to where they can't afford pump it out of the ground. Drilling company investors have lost money because the commodity they are producing isn't worth enough to get a return on their investment.

 

Carlsbad, NM is pretty busy.

 

I was surprised no one mention North Dakota. That where the money is. I'm live in western Colorado work for a local hot shot company I make at least 5-6 trips to North Dakota.

 

I looked into N. Dakota the problem i didnt like was that there was pretty much no housing.

 

Theres a lot more Chesapeake wells going in Ohio then there are in PA right now I think. I don't deal directly with the well rigs or anything... I just deliver cement to help stabilize the pad and roads to the pad.
