I think halliburton or schlumbger would be the only thing I could think of that would fit your description. I would focus on frac companies because your military service would probably count for something with them. They will hire you and train you in there own school and only charge you if you quit within a year. I would think your military expereinve would count more with them because the jobs require alot of mental toughness and the ability to swing a sledge hammer for sixteen hours a day with only three hours of sleep.
Great jobs in Texas

was wondering just what sucks equals as it looks like I am moving my operation to Odessa as I dont want to deal with the BS in ND and everything I have looked at online doesnt seem that bad

Housing is expensive and hard to come by. A lot of places have future residence programs. Most lower rate hotels are fully booked. Ads on craigslist with houses/Apts normally only last for several hours. You just gotta be in the right place at the right time to find something decent. Some rv spaces are available on an average of 400 a month

I got out with an OTH so I dont have my GI Bill benefits. Sucks pretty bad... especially after 4 years of honorable service.
I'm in a really tough spot because I dont have a lot of money to spare and no vacation at my job. I would literally have to throw everything to the wind, pack up, quit my job, leave my family here and beat feet hard to find a job right away. I'd almost have to find someone here that I know would hire me right away when I got there. I have no room for failure or time to waste... Any suggestions everyone? Maybe someone know whos in desperate need of some workers and would hire me quickly? -
How is OTH honorable service??????????? as far as I know OTH= Other Than Honorable
-
Doesn't look very good even with 4 years and the deployments, If you were booted out??
<>These two statements contradict each other<> especially after 4 years of honorable service.
Well stay where you are, keep the job you have, Which was it discharged OTH or Honorable? If it is to tough to get trained to move up to Truck Driving then stick it out where you are, I appreciate your service but I can't figure out which it is? Honorable or NOT?Last edited: Jun 16, 2012

My military discharge status is completely irrelevant. Why can't anyone just answer my questions?! I just need a list of companies to contact that are hiring in South Texas that will pay for my CDL training so I can go down there and get started right away.

Being former military 4 years Honorable I might add. OTH is not honorable. Stop BSing and most likely someone here can help. Even if it is OTH depending on the circumstances you may be able to land a job. Come clean and let us try to help! By the way discharge status is completely relevant

Oth and a two year old dui? I do not see you getting into commercial driving. -
