    the terminal in des moines that TMC now owns is an old schneider terminal from years ago. when schneider moved out of it, the place just sat there until TMC picked it up

    No, your talking about the training yard. Im talking about corporate offices and baymont motel. Thats the terminal. The schneider place is just for training. Still, thats pretty nice too for a training yard.

    The terminal is on Army Post Rd. The place your talking about is the training yard. Thats where orientation is held. Your bused from the Baymont to the training center.

    I know tmc pays for the bus ride but will they pay for a plane ticket if i can find one for the same as the bus?

    Day three down, and most of us are still here. I think we have lost six total, five were on day one. The sixth one quit, I think he said he had a job offer come up. It's really been nice and calm. We got to get on the sims, and do a little straight line backing today. I can't wait to get out of the classroom on Friday and start load securement. I finished all my classroom test that he give us to do, and so far do good. George is awesome, makes learning fun and keeps your attention because you never know when the next jokes coming. Well I'll get back on here Friday and fill you in some more, you should be here by then though right Blind. We've had some good pool games in the evenings, after the homework of course.

    Hey guys,
    For those of you who are currently driving for TMC, what kind of miles a week are you doing and how are you paid? What is your average take home and is it mileage based or percentage? Also, what area of the country are you running in? I just would like to get some meat and potatos nitty gritty info on TMC. They seem like a good company but I don't know because I've never worked for them, and I've never been an OTR Trucker. Thanks.....

    Hey Turner, Im really glad to hear things are going well for you. You forgot to mention the food they serve you for lunch. Yes, I think George is a great instructor. You can really learn alot from him. Just remember though, its his world and he is in charge of it.
    As for being in friday, I dunno dog. Im sitting in a rest area at the Michigan and Ohio state line area. Gotta pause for 10. I have to bounce 148 miles to the shipper, Menards, then take it to Cedar Rapids. Im sure from there I will be routed to the terminal. My day will start at 0545. Same as always. Which mean I gotta have it shut down by 1945. I dont think Im gonna make (1) the bounce to the shipper (2) load and secure (3) drive to consignee (4) unload (5) drive to terminal for saturday am class. Just my opinion, but I dont think Im gonna make it. Che k out my thread for further details. PEACE!!!!
