Not quite 9 years driving here, avg between 125k to 135k per year should be pretty close if not there. So far knock on wood, only tickets have been 3 over axle tickets during that time. At 125k that should be around 1.1 mil. but I will have to go through my logs to be sure.

Over 1mil, not sure exactly. On my 3rd truck, no reported accidents, been hit a few times once by another truck that was an eye opener. Few tickets nothing big, wrong lane in Utah hotrodding stuff like that... steady as she goes. Done some cool stuff, put my second truck on a small ferry boat when I was loaded to the max, the boat was only big enough to hold six cars and my truck, rode big ferry boats loaded and empty many times. Ran up to 150,000lbs, that is interesting, up to 105ft long bolster load where the trailer is not hooked to the fifth wheel just used as a dolly, then took it 23miles into the bush on an old logging road. Parked my ole truck outside the Grand Ole Opry and listened to George Jones and Alabama, and parked outside the Elvis mansion to take the tour downtown Memphis. Some cool stuff, would not trade it for anything.

I have over 3 million miles accident free in a span of about 7 years. I worked for Global Van Lines. I do have some speeding tickets can't really count that far back, but back then the tickets didn't count if they were from another state than the one you lived in.
I took my job very seriously did my pre-trip like I meant it not just a glance over like alot will do. I enjoyed being otr and stayed out 8-9 months without ever going home. Started bringing my high school sweetheart on the road with me and the next thing you know is we started having kids so I came off the road (Thinking this was the best way to raise the kids) So I let my class A go thinking that was best. Now it's been over 15 years since I've been on the road. Don't get me wrong I love my kids but Ive hated being away from the road.
So now here I am getting my cdl class A back going thru school since no reputable company will hire me unless I've had recent otr exp. I still to this day (God as my witness have never had an accident) This I credit to being a professional truck driver and having the skill to see an accident before it happens. There is no other job in the world that I would rather do than trucking. Call me crazy I really don't care.
This is my story and I'm sticking to it.Dave 1960 Thanks this. -
Gotta say something here! 3 million in 7 years? Do the math....approx 428,000 PER YEAR???? even the superest super truckin' Billy Bigrigger wouldn't claim this.

Back then I had the energy to drive those hours but not now. Just about every job I've had since has been a 16 hour work day it's easy to get used to working that long. I averaged 900 miles a day, sometimes a little more not everyday of course since the truck had to be unloaded and reloaded.Junkyard Johnney Thanks this. -
OK, Rif, even at 10, that's still 300,000 per year. pardon me, but still kinda hard to swallow. Is it, perhaps, 7 years plus another 10 years?
