I think I have already stated a couple of times I view it as driver harassment more than anything else.

I personally don't see it as an issue with E-logs. I see it as a way for the company to monitor too closely the work schedule of a driver and change appointments and such.

When they can tell WHEN you are awake and checking your messages or when to expect you to start driving and then send you messages when you are starting to get some real rest, that's harassment.

One can complete the same process with Eclipse logs or DDL instead of being able to give the company the ability to monitor the movement and message the truck directly. They should not be directly related and allowed to work together.

I can email a log sheet in with eclipse or DDL daily just as well. They should not be able to monitor it 24/7.

Am I the only person wanting to know what company MN driver works for?? You know I'll just be honest if I don't come on the TR I usually can go right to sleep. But when I have to be nosy and see what everybody on every thread is doing then 5hours goes by and my company wants me to do my job and get to trucking. It's not driver harassment. Its called customer service.

I'm not defending drug use at all.

All I'm saying is this... If you tell someone to follow the rules, it applies to you too regardless of how much you think one is ok.

So while I am off-duty for my 34, I have to justify to you what I do in my down time?

As well as you have the ability to just crawl out of the drivers seat at 4:00PM and into the sleeper and go to sleep by 4:30 PM?

By the way when I used 2 and 3 log books. It wasn't to get an hour down the road. I needed a new 70 baby!!! Yeee hawwwww..

Oh ya and when you don't get enough sleep its amazing what you can see. That's really not there. So I'll have to agree with Mr. Link America. Just say no to 2 Log books!!
