I'll pass this comment off as pure sarcasm because a driver w/15 years experience would not really mean it especially if that driver is a male.you had me there momentarily driver.KUDOS-

Pjay, lemme tell ya about my trainer back in the day. Stunning man of about 5'8" and a good 350 lbs. I got to shower once every three days whether we needed it or not. he, on the other hand wasn't quite so concerned and regularly chose to skip the 3 day shower and opted for closer to six days.

He used to come out from behind the sleeper curtain to yell at me in his underwear. Yup, old c cup blubber boy with his butt cheese stank would plop it down in the passenger seat in just his fruit of the looms. He would have me pull over To the shoulder of what ever highway we were on. He would fly the door open and pee off the step. Majestic he was, NOT!

We ran team most of the time so I had to throw a blanket and sleep over the top of his stinky fox hole. It's was just horrible lol.

One day we got to his home. As we pulled up to his trailer home. He remarked in a really proud boastfull voice "all this is mine". Just like a king surveying his kingdome. Trailer house with a couple dozen dead cars all on blocks. 3' tall weeds, about 100 dogs and cats. I got to wait in the truck while his queen served him dinner and he got a good nights sleep in his own bed. He did NOT shower while he was home :(

Anyways, this went on and on until I was released to my own truck. I survived the experience, and so will you. Keep the faith don't give up, you'll get there.

And remember this, someday you'll look back on your experiences and finally be able to laugh. Even better, you'll be sitting at the lunch counter, and You will be the one telling the best story of the day.

    Kansas, you have inspired me!
Whenever I'm having a bad day, I will come back and read the thread about old c cup blubber boy with his butt cheese stank in his fruit of the looms.
I spit coffee across the room!!!
I fear the image is burnt into my brain, thanks!

Wow Kansas, quite the story! LOL! What can you do to get a good trainer, or at least one that bathes more than once a week! Does Ben Franklin have an influence!

Only 80 hours left, I would stick it out. Although I think a call to safety could get you on a different truck, it might delay your training by a week while waiting for a new trainer.
When ever your in doubt though, just read this thread < here > and you will realize you don't have it all that bad.

Yes it was purely a joke,my wife wanted to to team with me 2 years ago when we lived in AZ.I told her to go to Swift and take their driving school which she did. After her 18 days she called me and said to come pick her up,my response was "NO.Have them assign you a mentor and learn what too and not what too do from them",I did not want her picking up my bad habits. To make a long story short she did end up contacting safety on her first 2 trainers until she got one she just thought was great. She even drove an extra 60 hrs with the guy to learn as much as she could. She stuck it out because it is what she knew she wanted it more than anything so a few weeks of inconvenience and headaches would be worth it.:biggrin_25519:

I have to admit he did an excellent job,we teamed for a year and are now running tankers in the oilfields. She told me last week she is getting bored of it and wants to go back over the road,THANK GOD!!!!!!

The point is if you contact safety with a real safety issue it will be resolved.

Sorry if anyone thought my comment before was offensive.

Lemme tell ya lol. I'm typing on an iPad, so typing is slow and tedious and I could have gone on and on about him. I cut it way short. I was only 24 or 25 years old back then. At my present age of 42 i could not endure that guy these days. I'm pretty sure one of his later trainees either killed him, or at least beat him to a bloody pulp with a sock full of Irish spring.

But, hopefully Pjay can find some value in whatever positives her trainer has to offer. And when it's over, it can only get better.

    jonboy29 Thanks this.
