Yeah staxx i believe you are right he does not need to be driving a truck over the road if all hes worried about is what kind of fridge hes gonna put in his rig lol. thats the smallest of you problems darkside. do you even have your cdl? if so cool good for you bro but you need to worrie about making the cut when you get invited to tmc just because you get invited does not mean you have a job you still have lots of tests and training to go threw and if you cant hack it you will be washed out just like the military.

TMC isn't the only carrier I want to work for, in my eyes it's not the holy grail or the holier than thou project that will save my life from whatever you see I seem to look into this industry for. I work in a warehouse making 10 bucks an hour and have been making that amount roughly 4 years now and I'm tired of it, I live in a state that has cheap cost of living and an average apartment is roughly half my take home income. I am asking a lot of questions for learning purposes, whose the one guy on here that has the saying he who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who doesn't ask is a fool for life?? whats wrong with asking questions? Supposedly TMC pays great with some nice perks on the side on top of physical labor which I would proudly trade off doing to the best of my ability and it's something I'd like to pursue, wheres the "inner coward" you try to sniff out on that?, I have "an idea" of what the industry is like, not TMC...if i go through ANY training with ANY company I choose and get that feeling this is the marriage for me then yeah I'll make that a career, so far, with how i feel about the entire industry, it looking that way. I'll want to save money and not spend it on super size me #### thats why I am trying to fit in with the lifestyle of being a trucker while living frugal, make it apart of my life, like the physical labor flatbedding brings. Look, I'm trying to say the benefits outweigh the odds dude in my eyes. I'm young, no kids, no wife, no apartment, and no house, just a car payment and a 401K, I found something I want to reap the benefits for by providing a company who is strict like TMC my "work hard/play hard" ethic, a trade to the company every business would want. thats just what I see in trucking. I sound like I'm jumping the gun? well you know what? it's worth a try and I'm still gonna try TMC, Rhoel,Con-way, UsX...but if I get washed back oh well #### happens and whatever right? I get washed back #### IT OH WELL I move on, just like everything else in life..in the end whether I get the job TMC or I don't, I wont care, I'll just keep on. :)

A refridgerator, for the truck, is for cheap food i can buy that will keep cold for many weeks on end, for frugal "anti-super size" people like me and fellow helpful truckers on here, you know this. Going back to the state i live in, the state i live in is TN, TMC COULD keep me home every weekend if i got the job but, if i got the job, would not want to be home every weekend. Because I have no kids, no wife, no apartment, no house...Why not take advantage of staying on the road making fat paychecks after fat paychecks at the same time that little fridge that i bought listening to helpful people advised me to buy that helped me save money on not buying super size me. I want to 1. stay on the road(i know the saying if i'm not moving i'm not making a paycheck) I want to make the most money, and that is why flatbed is in my sights 2. I want to travel and NOT stay couped up with my parents my whole life. Blind dog, if you can do it so can I, but the only question I ask you is, is this your first company as a trucker and is this your first flatbed? I didnt ask anything else about anything, so what's the point of bullying me about "well this isn't fit for you" when I haven't even tried it yet???

all i will say is TRUCKING IS A WAY OF LIFE, NOT A JOB TO JUMP INTO & THINK I'M GONNA BE THE BEST OF THE BEST; drivers like that i want to stay away from as well as park far far away from

Invited? what like a party invitation? Are we having cake and ice cream? I'm sorry but I don't want to party(as a young man I don't party at a young fresh ripe strong age, I haven't even been to college yet which is where the partying invite is really at) and I know how applying for jobs work. I want to make a lot of money. I have a GI bill i haven't used yet and I am personally putting trucking first and not my GI Bill(no I cannot use my GI bill at the school). I want to work hard where theres hard work to be expected to be worked fast at my pace which is meaningfully with a sense of urgency and proficiency and, at the same time, conveniently be fit while doing my job. I KNOW I might not get the job, I KNOW they are strict. To me, 120 lbs, sounds really ####### heavy but if they say lift it with your knees and put it over your head or whatever and put it on the trailer, i WILL lift it with my knees and put it over my head and onto the trailer.

I'm not about being the best of the best, I'm no show off or hot shot. I am VERY new to trucking and I have been told by a few people flatbed is hard work and I'm surprised thats the first you want to do instead of dry van or refrid. Flatbed sounds fun and to me it's military life, i learned a hard lesson in the military and this is a "second chance".
