BHW that might help. I'm getting better at it no rice dumped on myself today. I did back into a temp probe and break it but that makes 3 out of this building so far so I'm not alone there. I got to drive a sweeper today. That thing steers like them old single wheel cotton pickers. We're going on 7 day weeks to get ready for harvest. The boss says we will get green rice Aug 7-10. That's early! It's supposed to be 103 here fri and sat.. I know alot of ya'll are in that boat or worse. Everybody stay safe.

Perfect weather to start a job pulling an end dump. We've got a couple hoppers too so I have a valid excuse for being in here for once. :biggrin_25511: Now to spend my day off, one of the hottest days yet, under the hood of an old LTD that my roomate is already calling the "Highway to Heaven mobile."

Supposed to be 104 here friday WH,i'm not looking forward to it at all. I've got a load of ddg's booked to load friday morning and unload friday afternoon,of all things to have on in that heat,i can think of a lot of stuff i'd rather be unloading than that,i'm seriosly considering packing some sticks of dynamite:biggrin_25521:. Is the humidity bad with that heat,so far it has not been bad humid here, but i'm sure it will get sticky by friday.

Humidity seems bad to me but probably not as bad as some. Been quitting little earlier than usual with the heat...seeing a lot of gators on the road. Starting to fry the corn and everything else. I guess was just dreaming might actually get a fall harvest.

Frameless 28ft. It's not bad, I can run it all day and never have to get out with all the controls in the cab. Makes for quick runs. I had completely forgotten about commercial/non commercial zones since I haven't run dump in so long. One of the other guys reminded me towards the end of the day yesterday. He thought I was running heavy because we were getting paid by the ton. I had no idea and was running 10-12k over all day. Whoops.

I'm about to go trade for the LTD. It's an old coupe with 32k original miles on it. Won't stay idling for some reason. It's got the 5.0 in it so I figure it won't be to bad on gas.

Just spent the last two days working on that LTD trying to get it started. It's canadian with a US ignition system. Nobody can figure out how that happened. It's a carbureted 302 with one of the first engine computers they ever made. "Digital ignition" they called it. It's like working on the space shuttle. In the freakin desert. Who ordered the 105 degree heat?

We have had over 100 degree days since Sunday and it's getting old. Seems like we did this last year.:biggrin_25511:

I hear ya, the corn is starting to make it look like we're growing pineapples underground here.
