I'm a newbie/wannabe and I'm waiting to start my cdl classes in Aug. but I would like to listen to CB. Is there somewhere online that I can listen to truckers on CB?
Thanks
Todd

I think you're getting a CDL for some wrong reasons... Lol
P.S.
Online...not sure. But you can get a scanner...that should work or just pickup a cheap cb and listen that way... If you really need to - not sure why? I try to keep mine off as much as possible.Friend, TRUCK3R M1KE and otherhalftw Thank this. -

Sorry about that. It's hard to pick up on humor sometimes when it's in text.
I understand why you would want it off when you have to hear it all the time.
I'm a Ham and I tuned to 11 meters but nothing to hear. I'm just curious about it is all. I'm sure it wouldn't take me long to get tired of it though.
Thanks!

It's full of cursing, disrespect, drivers acting like toddlers, anything stupid you can imagine a person can say or act on it and that is cb radio today. I keep mine off as well. The only time I really turn it on anymore is when a customer says they will communicate with me on it to put me in a dock or around the truck stop until I'm parked, just in case someone says stop because some idiot jumped behind me or something. It's not worth having on anymore. CB radio shops are going out of business due to the lack of interest in them. Anymore, I get more entertainment on Pandora Radio, Stitcher Rafio, or on here...
TRUCK3R M1KE and LGarrison Thank this. -
If you're in a town with some home basers sitting on 19 forget it. If you are out in the country near an interstate or a place like a rock quarry you can actually still hear truckers talk about work!

You need a CB to listen, but it doesn't have to break the bank. You can get a plain little Cobra for $50 @ Radio Shack. It's nothing fancy, but it works. I have it in one of my pickups. (I think I have a $60 Midland in the other) Add a magnetic or window mount antenna, and you're in business for under $100. And, it's portable. You can move it from one vehicle to another.
Just a suggestion, but you could spend a little more and have a nicer radio for when you do get your CDL. Most likely, you will have to furnish your own CB anyway.
This is the radio that I have in my KW: https://www.cobra.com/detail/model-...display-and-bluetooth-wireless-technology.cfm
