Well, how about this?I'll be 70 in December and I want to start a new career. I have been thinking about this a long time - and since I plan to live to at least 105 years, I have plenty of time for a new career. It's either this or become a lawyer - c'mon, you know this is honorable work and you know what they say about lawyers!
I need a good school and a good company. I have been reading about both here but I'm not sure where to go. Is there a school that will pay for my transportation to the school and back if necessary(I'm in California)? How about lodging while in training? And payment while being trained? I'm not tied down to a California company if there are really better companies elsewhere. I need medical and all the other goodies - so what do you guys recommend? (Please don't tell me to stay home...heh-heh)
My background, if anyone cares: A former Recon Marine (job Intelligence)/ former Air Force Intelligence/ Police Officer and Investigator on 2 departments/ former private investigator/ former bounty hunter/ current driving instructor (kids are trying to kill me every week - ugh!) and I do web pages and windows applications for fun.
is 42 too old

Well, with your limited experience and shady job history you might have a little trouble with the background check!
But sure, give it a try!
