I agree with you too only these electronic logs are not the way to do it, I'm working these everyday and I know they do nothing for safety, there has to be another way, these things don't work! You can't be made to sleep if ure not tired, it's a simple law of nature one these contraptions dont leave any room for

Do you realize that an EOBR only tracks compliance of regs that are older than most anyone still in this business? It's not the box that limits you, it's the regs that you don't want to comply with. An EOBR is nothing more than the closed curcuit camera, at the fuel desk, to keep you from robbing the clerk.

    Boy.....I'd slap you silly!
Cameras never stopped anyone from committing crimes! I tell you what stopes criminals: it's smith&wesson, Colt, glock, beretta, etc.

    But that's beside the point.
We're not criminals that need to e monitored like prisoners in a penitentiary.......and that truck cab it's not a public place!

    Are you implying something?......

    Ughh! I'm tellin ya......

EOBR's track a lot more than that they know your exact speed and location every second . Hit the brakes hard and you'll hear about it. Let you speed go 2 m.p.h over the limit on a downgrade - gotcha

Cameras have cut down on many crimes, that is a statistic that is not refuted. People hate being seen, when they are doing something wrong.
That truck cab is on a public highway, not your private road.

The point is do you want some middle manager type at ls,getting an email every time you go 2 mph over the speed limit. I wouldn't , I can't wait till they want to put the chip in our heads! Or maybe a barcode tattoo .
