Sir, with all due with respect, and if you think about it. Not one person would have the same answer to this topic that the original starter of this topic of discussion. It is a clutter of emails over the same topic. We cannot change the other drivers in a truck stop, because it is a free country, the drivers can do what they want to do, as long as they are not violating the law. If they want to run their noisy reefer at night through a continuous cycle, and perhaps, that is something they have to do. Just like one person posted that food could feed someone's family, and the thought of it hurting a child or someone's family member would indeed be a tragedy by all means. Sir, I have learned throughout the years not to complain about anything. Just grateful to be a live, and I am a survivor. Once you get to that point, then the little things do not bother you anymore, because it could be worse.
I would like to share something with you. The next time a driver complains, please remember this video, and a long with myself that was over in the war. I spent 5 tours in Afghanistan, and 4 tours in Iraq.

Well drivers , got some news for ya. There are very few of us who do the right thing, even though the industry as a hole is all about themselves, we still pratice respect for the other driver, there are still those who will see you trying to slide your tandems and get up and help. there are those who will help a driver when they are backing into a tight spot.we do this because its the right thing to do. alot of older drivers have given up and just complain, so if your one of those who still do the right thing, keep fighting the good fight. if your one of those who dont, shutup drink some milk and take a nap.
Raiderfanatic, TRKRSHONEY, treedodgingfool and 1 other person Thank this. -
I grew-up with seven siblings, sleeping at the pickle park is mild in comparison, seriously. I'd rather hear rigs all night then two toddlers squabbling, a baby screaming and my brothers making racket on the drums. On the other hand, I have helped other drivers and in some cases treated like I had two heads for it, but I'll still offer because its the proper thing to Do. A little civility can go along way.

there's a reason why you see some trucks parked the opposite direction in a spot. and it's not becuase they are too lazy to back in.

That would be truckers like me. I have a grass burner exhaust and if I want to idle when parked. I'll try to find a spot I can pull in facing the opposite direction of other trucks. I really do try to be as respectful as I can with the grass burner exhaust. But truck stop noise doesn't bother ma at all. And don't care who parks next to me. Even if I'm the only rig parked in the back row with 100 open parking spots. If I don't like it, I'll move. Or just plop in my ear plugs. Most reefers are much quieter than years ago anyway.TRUCK3R M1KE Thanks this. -
If it was on a weekend, perhaps the person parked next to you thought you had parked the truck there and went home for the weekend.

i'll sometimes pull right in. just to be ont he opposite end of the reefers. or idling trucks for that matter when the temps are such that the truck shouldn't be wasting fuel.
