Sorry I'm so late replying to this, I have been on the night shift all week so when I finally get pulled over I am ready to crash! I'm sure that you have already learned by now that George's pretty much sucks. I don't think I have ever gotten out of there before midnight giving me barely enough time to make my delivery the next morning. FYI, if you call to get a status update on you load wait until after 1630. If you call before then you will get Karen and she basically tells you whatever will get you off of the phone fast so she can go back to spacing off. If you call after 1630 you will get Major and he will get you a pretty darn close time when you will be rolling. Every now and then I have heard of trailers being done early in the day, but it has never happened for me so I just consider it a fairy tale. Don't worry about getting your trailer washed out either when you go in there because they will wash it out when the back it into a door. If for some odd ball reason it is a really bloody trailer I will get it washed out off site since the USDA Gestapo probably wouldn't like having bloody water all over the loading dock but mist of the trailers come down from RDC so they're usually not all that bad.
Ended up getting Elizabeth, NJ kicked off of Thursday morning and holy crow was that dock a pain in the ### to back into!:biggrin_25516: If any of you ever get sent to Hernandez Beef on Henry Street you will see what I mean. After that ran over to Port Newark Refrigerated and loaded for Jack Link's in Alpena, SD for tonight then reloading there and be in Underwood, IA for Sunday afternoon sometime.
You have learned that FCFS means zilch to Tyson there at Abingdon or any place else that is FCFS. If you are not there to be the number 1 or 2 truck on the board to unload you can be there awhile. When I take Cargill in I usually come in around 1000 and it's and in and out operation. Have a good weekend all and safe travels!

I haven't even looked at mine all week because I know it's bad! But luckily I'm getting a break from the heat for a little bit here in Worthington with a cool 68 degrees.

Sitting @ Berkley WV Travel Plaza next to 819..

Deliver tomorrow @ midnight in Mechanicsville... People around Richmond have power yet? Or should I fill up here >.<

Be safe all and good luck.

I was wondering the sort of the same thing.. Have my TWIC card appointment in about 2 weeks. Would I get comp'd for that?

Shut down here at spiceland, 100 here, so much for the idle bonus, i was thinking of getting myself a motel room for the nite, but wasnt too sure what there was around here and i didnt much feel like dealing with late afternoon indy traffic with only 1 hour left on the clock.
