Got dropped in Roanoke, TX, now at Ft. Worth yard waiting on load going to New Braunfels. I guess the shipper ran the guy out of hours after the shipper took 8 hours to load. Then on to the house after. Which is good, because when I was in Louisiana I picked up a load of seafood gumbo to share with the wife! LOL

 

What time do they want us to be at the yard for orientation?

 

Well today was my last day at irt....the more I think about how you SE drivers run over here the better I feel about this move. Staying closer to home and no more OTR are going to be very pleasant and welcomed changes.

 

Congrats ACT, you deserve it after the time you spent on the road. Good to see you and Giants move on to better things.

 

Yeah my OTR days are a thing of my past from this day forward. I'm looking forward to having at least some semblance of a life again, whatever that will end up being.

 

I think it's 0700 at the hotel. Ask your recruiter to send you a confirmation info sheet which tells you your pay, hometime, hotel address and instructions, etc.

 

It's nice to have a life where you can actually plan to do things.

 

I live so close to the terminal I could walk there if I wanted to, so there will be no hotel for me. lol
