Wondering what ya'lls advice would be on this subject. I know most if not all truckers have at some point had to deal with the ridiculous, unnecessare bull that these guys give. The messages sent on the QC that are obviously pre-thought out with the express intention to piss off the drivers (as if they don't have enough to do actually WORKING to provide for their families & the families of the dispatchers, after all if they don't run there won't be a job) , the out-&-out singling out of drivers for whatever reason & then having the supervisor's at their beck & call with the ability to go in the office & SIT ON THEIR FAT ##### & talk crap all day long about the drivers that they are hoping to get fired. It really pisses me off b/c they know it's not like you truckers have the time to go in & play 4th grade with these clowns ... but THEY sure do. The worst is when you get in trouble for something RIDICULOUS & you have proof that its a lie from your dispatcher but nothing gets done about these jerks. Getting safety hold for braking too hard but you're truck was off & you were asleep or going over hours according to computers but you were offline & AT HOME! Just the horror stories go on & on & I'm sure everyones got them. My question is how is this crap still happening & HOWWW is it ok? Truckers are being fired for having a "bad tone" with the Allmighty Dispatchers but its ok for the dispatchers to play games with the truckers all day long & nothing gets done about them??? There has got to be a way to protect yourself better & fight back against all this unnecessary ########. It's not right!:biggrin_25516:

I'm big and scary and they know if they mess with my that i'll find them eventually. That and the very first day I get assigned to them, I ask, "Have you ever driven a truck for a living?" When they say, "No", I remind them to never forget that and to.never pretend to know what's going on out here. They are "Driver Support" because I can find my own d*mn loads, whereas they can't drive the truck.

But I work with them if they know what they're doing. And I switch if they don't. New dispatchers should be assigned to new drivers who don't knownthe ways of the industry yet.

Furthermore, the only thing stopping a dispatcher from getting an ***-whooping is the time I spend whooping the *** of the terminal manager who isnt doing his job.

I don't give a d*mn if it affects my career. I've nearly come to blows with shop managers and even owners of a company because they were flat out WRONG and wanted to skirt the blame or responsibility. Some people NEED to be taken off their pedestal and you cannot be afraid to be the one to do it if the time comes.

Luckily I work for people where it isnt an issue, and if I am waiting too long for something, I just get out and do it myself.

I just think its ridiculous that the truckers are forced to put up with this crap. If powdering the dispatchers ##### is a requirement, they should have it in orientation. lol. Its not like ya'll have signed up to be day care attendants.

Just bite your tongue and play nice. Next time you see them, pull them aside in a friendly manner and threaten to eat their family if they dont get their crap together.

This of course only works if the dispatcher is the real problem and not you. A lot of people blame everyone else for their problems, and honestly, I don't know either of you.

My attitude hinges on my being a pretty self-righteous driver/person that doesn't take crap or poor work ethic from anyone and only cares about finding a solution to a problem rather than whining about the problem itself.

Let my dispatcher know just the other day that 2 other companies have asked me to come drive for them and Bring MY contract with me. She didn't like it, but has become more friendly after the promise that I would take them up on it. Don't think they want to lose the revenue that my contract has been bringing in for the company for the last 8 months when their own contracts have been slow.
