I would love to hear your advice, stories, pros and cons about teaming for Con-way...Con-way has made its way into my top 3 list of carriers (Con-way,USXpress,Schenider) I think may fit for us best so far..
Conway and USX I like best simply for their pet policy..We have a 4 yr old Min Pin...Not 100% sure if we will take him or let him stay with our daughter thats still up in the air

We are a ways out from starting any school, we are in the research phase at this time ..any other carriers that we should look at ?

Thanks to all who take the time to be helpful with info...

Although I am a solo, when I was in your position, I looked strictly at year end money when evaluating the same top 3 you have. In the end, CWTL has better training pay, better end of year pay and all the steps in between. If that wasn't enough, by going to a CW approved school, my tuition reimbursements were complete when I dropped my first load without a trainer. No hostage stuff for a year or more...

As teams go, I hear lots of good but speak to the team drivers. Good luck and have fun.

Yeah I'd like Conway TL for your location ...how far are u from I-40? Conway doesn't tell you which route you HAVE to follow (as long as you aren't crazy out if route miles) as a team we rode I-40, I-44 quite a bit ..and if u get loads with extra time to deliver , u can stop at the house. ( and under a load or if your comminuted to a pre-plan Conway does not minus that time off...) but be warned we stayed plenty busy running miles...only times we sat was after running out of hours in 7 days...and when headed home to FL...kinda slow after our highlight sometimes ....hope that help you :)

I'm in Hollywood. Didn't think Conway hires this far south. Do they hire out of Ft Myers? Thanks.

Call CWTL, ask about going to school at Crowder in Neosho Missouri. That is their flagship school, with skid pad. Will save you a lot of time if you go there. It is taylored for Con-way.May get it paid for since wanting to go team.A phone call will get most of your questions answered.
