Yep Dart was good and they have a lot of dedicated accounts, I was on General Mills, 100% drop and hook preplanned on Sunday for the following week, Chattanooga,TN to Palmyra, Pa. to Galesburg, IL. back to Chattanooga by Sat. A.M.. Their deductions are by the day mine used to run around 88.00+ fuel. The weekly thing is designed to put you in the hole if you even attempt to go home. I knew that when I took 2 days off the first 200 miles that week covered my hometime.I may look at Dart again in the future, just wish they leased better equipment.

I know this article is a couple years old but it's well worth the read.
Read the rest here along with many lease story comments

Yet OOIDA still manages to take that Corporate Sponsorship money from Dart Transit year after year. What do you expect from a lobbying organization.Their ###### like everyone else. And yes I am an OOIDA member.
NavigatorWife and Roadmedic Thank this. -
They take sponsorship from any means possible. They can't run on air. How much does the LandLine magazine cost you?
This thread is about Lease/Purchase scams. Not personal views on OOIDA! We already have that thread!123456 Thanks this. -
With them, it is better late than never.
This might cost them some advertising dollars.
It is a no brainer. The companies never lose. -

In my case I have to balance my need to make money against the need to be home. What I like is that I can adjust my time out based on several factors including how freight is moving. Sometimes you plan on being home, but then get offered a 1000 mile load that gets you home a couple of days late. You can get home every weekend if the freight is good during the week and you don't need 3000 miles a week to break-even. In my case I start making money after about 1000 miles and my household expenses are low. I'm not bragging, just pointing out what it takes to make this work. I don't go home every week, but I do average about 7 days a month at home.

Well if they hate lease purchases so much why would they let them advertise?
