Monteagle on I-24. Technically not a mountain, but a plateau. Cumberland Plateau. Used to be a lot worse in the day. really not bad at all now, but has reputation from the past.

I know some will argue, just telling you what "WIKIPEDIA" says about it being a plateau.

plateau, mountain, hill, or whatever people call it; it was very scary going over it at night in the fog, and rain. To beat it all I obviously went over it in a four wheeler (car) and got scared ########.

Driven Mont Eagle, didn't impress me in the least. US 550 is a blast to drive, be it the truck, 4-wheeler or motorcycle. US 160 Wolf Creek is nothing special, La Veta EB can be amusing because you don't realize the drop is steeper than the signs tell you. US 6 Loveland Pass, done it a couple times at 80K, it was fun. US 40 Berthoud is nothing exciting. Now, US 50 Monarch and US 40 Rabbit Ears both going WB are a wake up call, yes you better be on your A game for both of them. US 285/24 Trout Creek Pass dropping into Buena Vista, seriously?, and yes I've run it in the winter on ice.

Couple of others that will wake you up CO 139 Douglass Pass, it a narrow, marginally paved road. US 285 Turkey Creek Canyon EB, there is a reason the speed limit is 35 mph. Lately though, it seems we can't go a day without a big truck wrecking on I-70 Eisenhower or Floyd. In fact one each today.

ya but they still go on it. from what ive heard neither oh or Nc has put up signs big enough to ward off dump drivers "NO TRUCKS ALLOWED" type of thing.

if anyone knows better please say so then i wont be wonderin for much longer.

I don't think PA302 went into Allentown, it was more or less what 611 is now. Maybe 309?
