My three months at CRST is over and i want to move on. I liked it here so far but team driving isn't for me. I want to be able to bring my girl and my dog with me, so I'm looking into other options. I was gonna go with Melton but they said no after i told them i didn't three months in jail in , 2010, they said had to be three years or older but it didn't say anything like that on there website. So now I'm looking at Arnold. They approved me, buy they only do regional and i want to drive all 48. I'll take it if i have to, buy i was winding if you guys know of anyone that drives all 48 that hires with 3 months experience. Also any companies that do whatever really even if that includes regional. Any ideas guys?

I would try to stick it out a little longer than three months. Not going to look good on your employment record. Plus it is going to be tough getting hired on anywhere with that little experience.

The above is the best advice you will get. If you didnt burn any bridges with CRST, go back and do at least 6 more months, better yet get a full winters worth of driving experience then go shopping for a job. Personally, teams suck! However, idid 4 years of teams with FFE with the SAME A-Hole driver. No, i,m not kidding and yes it was 4 solid years of driving. Hopping around is the worst thing you can do for your driving career.

Not just for this OP but for others as well who ask about companies to drive for. Even though a company runs 48 states, it doesn't mean they hire in 48. It helps if you tell us where you are located.

Usually id say stick it out, but even though you only have 3 months get the phone book or look on the internet and find a company that works for you. Wont be perfect but the flaws you can tolerate.

Senior level execs and CEO's job hop too whenever the grass is greener. Some destroy the futures of working americans and the companies they run and can get another job tomorrow doing the same thing. Amazing.

Century I see your point too. Though I feel for LS I would still advise he try to stick it out a bit longer. I am not in his shoes though so I do not know what his current working conditions are. If they are really bad then yes try and move on but if possible to drive a little longer with CRST then try and do so. Is it just your co-driver you are having problems with? Maybe switch drivers if that is part of the problem. I can tell you first hand that team driving is very, very tough! I have been doing it most of my driving career. Not only do you have to deal with another person and all their habits (driving and non) but you are dealing with above average stress of hot loads, time frames, running that truck 24/7, sleeping in a moving truck on endless days, minimal showering and stops etc... Team driving is a whole different animal! Another thing that can weigh on you is that due to minimal breaks and stops you are spending more time in that 5' x 5' box bringing on a little cabin fever after awhile. Now on top of that, teams tend to stay out a little longer than solo's too!

Now take all of this and multiply it by a newbie who has been thrown into this not knowing what to expect. It can be really tough!

Like I said, I would try to stick it out a bit but if you feel you need to move on then do so. Just keep in mind you more than likely going to have to do your training all over again riding with a trainer for another couple months and making minimal training pay. Most companies aren't going to recognize your three months as experience. Those that say they will I would be weary of because once they get you to orientation they will tell you that they have made a mistake and you will have to go with a trainer. They know by now its too late for you to change your mind and you will have to except their offer. Happened to me and happens quite frequently! Not trying to scare you or be negative just trying to let you know what you maybe in store for. Your best bet would be to stay away from the mega-carriers if you want to avoid this. With that being said its going to be tough to find a smaller company due to your experience and unfortunately what the smaller companies will do is just have you team for a few months to make sure you can drive. You won't be paid as a trainee but nonetheless you are back teaming.

Whatever you do don't lease at CRST just to run solo! They may throw this option at you so be prepared!

Good luck man in whatever you do, keep us informed and if you need anything holler.

This is true. But very few do so after only 3 months. Because if they did, they wouldn't find very many new CEO hiring options available to them.

I agree with the others. Stick it out for 6 months or a year. Then find another job and make sure you keep it for at least 2 years. This will establish stable work history and it will also put another 3 years between you and your legal issues.
