dj, that was't me that made that post i just asked about orientation time , what you do in your personal life is your buisness , personally i feel that if things keep going the way they are the mexicans will be taking all the driving jobs anyway and you know nobody cares about what they may have done ,they are cheap labor so why bother holding them to the same standards as us AMERICAN CITIZENS
Carolina Cargo is better than ever for new drivers with a felony.

yeah I know you didn't but I'm on my phone so I just made it all one message. people say"well it's against the law". well in north Carolina it's against the law to give or receive oral sex from your wife or do it in any position but missionary haha. some laws are outdated and need to be changed.but yeah he told me to show up before 8 and have everything you need to be gone for a week or two.you get your first pay check after two west cost trips.so about two weeks.

I think marijuana should be legalized. My views on it and the laws concerning it aside, you should know the laws. You know it's illegal. You knew if you got caught you'd have to pay the consequences. The companies see that. You weren't being responsible. You saying you were using pot as a responsible alternative to cigarettes or alcohol is like saying I paid for a prostitute instead of raping a woman. You're still not showing good judgement and in my honest opinion the companies are right for rejecting you. Would you shoot an abortion doctor because you felt us what the responsible alternative to him performing his job? Obviously you're 21 or over. The "responsible alternative" to getting a buzz is to not. Wow.

people like you are what is wrong with our county today. my dad was the one growing it and seeing as I had no job my only choice was to live in this house and get busted with him. hold your judgments for someone who cares buddy.if we were all like you all the criminals such as myself would have to live on tax payers dollars because none will give us a job.you might think that's a good idea but it sound like crap to me. I'm sorry that me trying to become a productive member of society offends you to such a great length. everyone makes mistakes but not everyone has good morals and shows good charterer.I'm a good person and would never do anything to harm myself or others or do anything to jeopardize my job or the safety to the people around me.my good work history shows that but people like you don't seem to care about things like that. so many of our presidents smoked pot but they were lucky enough to not get caught and they seem fit to run the country but I shouldn't be allowed to drive a truck? go educated yourself buddy and spread your hate somewhere else.I have enough negativity in my life without people like you.good day sir.
vegaskid and j_mac84trucker Thank this. -
I do wish you the best of luck at your new adventure. Keep clean and get that record expunged and you'll be just fine thanks to CC giving you a chance. -
I do fully understand the point of view. I came into this industry knowing I was going to have a hard time and would have to work hard just to get a job at all. I can't expect for companies and their insurance policies to just side with me and understand what happened, especially when most of them wont hear me out. The funny part is most of the people I talk to said they think it's stupid what I got in trouble for and if it were just up to them they would give me a chance, but it's their insurance that is shooting me down. Seeing as I'm 22, no experience other than school, and I'm on probation. Like I said I know it was bad judgement on my part but it was my father growing in the basement, which I did take part in it but I really had no choice since it is his house and I was unable to help pay bills so I had no "right" to tell him what he could and could not do. When the cops showed up he said it was all his and I had nothing to do with it, but they didn't care and arrested us both saying it looks better to the boss and the court system now would get twice the money as if they just arrested him. The part I have a problem with is that so many people get in trouble with the law, and end up living off the government because it's close to impossible to get a job that pays over $7 an hour. Agree with me or not, but what big banks and politicians do every day is much more of a crime than growing a couple plants, but I'm just a citizen so I had to just bend over and take what the courts gave me, excuse my crude terminology. I am thankful for this company who will give me a shot and will be till the end of my career no matter how "shotty" others say they are. I had a well known company tell me that I'd have an easier time getting a job with a "assault with a deadly weapon" charge compared to a misdemeanor possession charge. I'm lucky this is my first offense and after probation I'll be able to get the charges wiped from my record, otherwise this would follow me for a long long long time to come. Seems a little unfair to do to a 22year old trying to start out his life. I was in college for computer programming on the deans list with a perfect 4.0 GPA when I was arrested by the way, after 2 semesters the stress and depression that comes with sitting in a jail cell and being treated the way I did, was too much to handle and I ended up leaving college.
I know i'm putting down a lot of information but a lot of people seem to think me not getting a job is fair punishment for my crime. Before this i never had as much as a speeding ticket. And what have I suffered already due to my poor judgement? at 20 years old I had to do 3 days in a county jail, which consisted of being stripped down in front of a grown man, having to "spread my cheeks and cough", being forced into a 1 piece suit so small i could not bend over or lay down properly. Sleeping on a 1inch mat with no pillow or blanket on a concrete floor in a room smaller than my bathroom, which i had to share with 2 other people who's charges included rape, burning down a church, and robbing and assaulting an elderly women. I had to take showers in front of 150 men, all criminals with nothing to hide behind. the bathroom? 3 inches from my "bed" where god and everyone could see me. Then for the next 2 years being dragged to court once a month to wait and see if it was the day judgement would be brought down on me. with that not being near enough punishment for my horrible crimes, I was sentenced to 2 years probation, 24 hours of community service, a drug rehabilitation class(even though i'd been drug free for 2 years), and over $3,000 in fines. All in all it cost me around 9 THOUSAND dollars along with the punishment I described above. Plus the fact getting a job was CLOSE to impossible. Now for the nay sayers, isn't that enough punishment? Should I have received the electric chair or something? how is it people still think I need to suffer more.
SORRY for writing a book but its a sore topic. REMEMBER it was once ILLEGAL in our country NOT to grow marijuana. Boy how times have changed.
