We have a driver in a C16 with pdi stage1 getting 6.2 ifta quarters. No doubt you will love the extra torque with the 16 but if you can't have a heavy foot and still get mileage. He has pipes I forget 5" or 6" with a small muffler underneath maybe 30" long with a blocker in the middle that he drilled out, that thing has a sound of it's own nice to drive, not much noise takin off and just a nice deep rumble on the jake and nothing but turbo on the highway. My c15 gets about a 10th better on mileage but has nothing on the big one for power even with stage1 and hot codes

So I am going with the C-16. Should have the core motor some time next week. I am not sure if I want to go with the turbo that Cat has when this is getting rebuild. Do any of you recommend a different turbo that will last longer and spool faster?

the C-16 will have more resale value

S480 BIG CAT 1.58 HOUSING T6
This is what I would go with on a c16.
The normal 78mm 1.32 is just to small on the big inch cats IMHO. -
It is a great motor and pulls great but to get any MPG you need to really pay attention.
