No problem. Prime has their drivers convinced they arent getting a bad deal with their lease. I guess if I didnt know any better Id think the same. A new truck leased for $3445/mo plus other fixed and variable costs apparently appeals to those at Prime and Im ok with that, just having some fun debating these fellas because they are so steadfast in their belief, lol. Btw guys Im not stupid,I know Prime leases used trucks. IP you yourself told a couple in 2009 it was a smart move leasing a used truck, guess you've changed your mind. See ya around! Ttyl

Why,
do other peoples comments bother people so much ??
Is that not what a forum is about ?lonelyswmtrucker Thanks this. -
Last time I looked it will run you $896 for a new tractor and don't forget $70 for your APU each week. Were up to what 966, were not done yet folks, but I'll have to look up the numbers for qualcomm, performance bond, Taxes, license, etc... Want a Peterbilt, add a hundred or so.......

Several people told me that at a start of lease that everything is good, however at the end of the lease (several mo.to go), some companys play games such as not giving you much work so that you cant make the truck payments. They repo your truck and give it to another victom.

On the Ace lease I pay $937/wk for a Pete. It's a 3 year note and I put 6k down with a $1 buyout. It's 16% interest and yes that's high but I can't just go to the dealer and get one like most folks due to some issues. In July 2014 I'll have a 2012 587 paid off with plenty warranty left. I know our expenses are higher than alot of these other deals that pay by the mile, but as long as the revenue is there it works for me, because I don't like to run alot of miles. My rev to the truck for the past 50 weeks is 1.753 on 165,000 miles (team). And by the way my reefer fuel cost is .034 and the reefer fuel surcharge was .039.

Yes, BullHaulerswife... You can close this thread. The troll came over here bashing, not sharing info. Most prime users here use the threads to improve ourselves as drivers by sharing info & experiences, not belittling others & their companies.

Leave it open,
the truth is hard on some folks .............Danfromwindsor Thanks this. -
I said nothing untrue. I just spoke the truth about the numbers. Guess thats considered blasphemy at Prime, lol. I never belittled Prime either. Matter of fact Ive sent many students in Primes direction because I think their training program is one of the best Ive seen for large companies. I just caution folks to stay away from the lease.
