Do you honestly believe because a company cuts back how fast you can go, that you deserve to be paid more?

with the economy as it is today & with the way companies are being ran, who do u think is more important to ur boss; u or his money? ur replaceable with someone else for about a dime to a quarter cheaper if not more; when that time will come.

he won't want to give up no more money than he has to, trust me; the days of companies giving u their word, handshake etc are gone. it's all about that almight dollar

once again... you are talking IDEAL conditions in thinking that you will make it an extra 75 miles down the road over the course of the day...

I work for a really good company, and I'm not really worried about anything. I'm lucky, I will admit it

Even if your truck will do 75 mph, you won't average that over the course of a day, especially on the east coast. When most drivers can go at much higher speeds they will usually be speeding up and slowing up, braking, etc., It will likely not make that much difference in the time you will arrive at your destination. If you run California the speed limit is lower and if you try to do 75 in that state then you will receive a very expensive ticket. There are a number of states and municipalities where truck speeds are 55 or less. If you keep a steady speed and keep the door closed you can put on a lot of miles and earn a decent living.
