Even if your truck will do 75 mph, you won't average that over the course of a day, especially on the east coast. When most drivers can go at much higher speeds they will usually be speeding up and slowing up, braking, etc., It will likely not make that much difference in the time you will arrive at your destination. If you run California the speed limit is lower and if you try to do 75 in that state then you will receive a very expensive ticket. There are a number of states and municipalities where truck speeds are 55 or less. If you keep a steady speed and keep the door closed you can put on a lot of miles and earn a decent living.
